out of the 600 that said they'd die to have one if it was remade... maybe 2 or 3 actually backed their words.

Most of the members here are young kids (no offense, b/c I've been here since I was 15) who don't have a lot of money but do have high hopes for their cars. Thread Starter

hey, im 18 and in in college. Overall with buying the hood, shipping from south carolina to michigan, then having it blocksanded and paited, close to 800 big ones.... that puts a nasty dent in my low cash flow

Hey now, I said no offense. I myself am only 20, and my tastes have changed alot. My point was that there are a lot of younger guys (15 and 16) that drive Mommy and Daddy's V6 camaro to school and get behind the keyboards and say stuff that they have no intentions of following through with.
A few members that's it.....
Often times people won't buy stuff until they hear good reviews from someone else.......Other times it just takes time and people want to consider alternatives......I started talking about an LS1 well over 1 year ago........just now getting around to doing it......only 19 here too....But i wouldn't tell someone to make something for me if I wasn't 100% sure I would be buying it........

speaking of products that everyone wants until the bill arrives.... how're the notches that Hawks is making going as far as sales go? I haven't seen anything on them lately
Never heard of that hood, but now that I found it, it looks pretty damn cool. I like my car looking as close to stock as possible. After I do more mods to my engine, which includes a higher rise intake, hood clearance might become a problem, that looks like a great solution. If I need hood clearance, that is what I am going to buy.

I don't have one because I rode around for almost a freaking year with a trailer park looking hole in my hood waiting for this hood to be finished. Every two or three weeks I would here the same thing,it'll be ready in another two weeks. I just got tired of waiting, and being held up by the hood. I had to go with a SS.
I just ordered one.
But I never heard of them until last week when I decided to buy a hood and started looking. So I wasn't one of the people clamoring for someone to make one.
The hole I cut in my stock hood with a jigsaw just wasn't going to make it through the state inspection... And my original plans of building a cowl were just taking way too long.
Unfortunately I don't think I can afford to have it painted right away... My choice is 350 hp motor or painted hood :-). And frankly, that's not a really hard choice.

Just so everyone knows, The bottom of the hood isnt a straight open cowl. It has a funnel shape to it that comes down around my open air element. Im not sure if it would would well with the stealth ram or other intakes of the sorts.

how big is that hole in there for the air filter? im lookin at saving for one, i think new suspension is first, but i really want to get a jongbloed because they look bad ***. i just need to know is the 14" filter will fir in there.
I just put mine on. It fits my 14" air cleaner like the factory made it that way.
The hole isn't much bigger than the air cleaner (15" across? 16"? Haven't measured it) but they positioned it perfectly.
Also the quality of the hood was excellent! It fit with just minor loosening of the hinge bolts and sliding them a bit.
