$45? There is a better aftermarket one that is only like $25. My mechanic and I both drive 3rd gens, and he always keeps a few in his shop in case we need one. During the summer, those things are a damned necessity!

I just want to point out that thirdgens are more of a luxury in other countries. Obtaining parts can be somewhat of a hassle and expensive.
Believe it or not, I have seen far worse. I'm sure you could fix it, but it would take quite a bit of work. Not exactly sure how to fix something that badly damaged though.

Not sure if air dams are a universal part for Camaros and Birds but here's one on Ebay right now.

I know the seller says "Will ship to United States only." but tell him your dilemma and where you're at. He/She may be cool enough to send it.

I think the Pontiac air dam is a three-piece and the Chevrolet dam is a one-piece.
As for where to buy the air dam, I have a number for a guy that would ship to you and he sells the three-piece Pontiac dam for ...I think $35. I left the number at work so as soon as i can get it, I'll send it to you.
As for the ducktape idea. Go for it, after all, IF YOU CAN'T DUCK IT....F^$# IT.

EYEROCK89 - let me clear it up for you, i have an 85 trans am it came stock with a 1 piece air dam . it was like a plstic rubber compund, it sucked and i wanted a new one so i got one off ebay. it is the newer updated 3 piece stlye and it is made out of abs plastic. YOu can use the 3 piece trans am air dam on camaros if you only use the center piece.

Although he requires imidiate paypal payment and you may need to talk to him about shipping out of the country.

alright d00d this has happened to my car before. what you do is-
Poke holes in the damn, enought to stick a (oh damn for got what they are called) those things that they use to cuff people hands, they are made of plastic, they lock when you pull them tighter. now known as zip tiesWent blank on the name of those. But anyways, then either make a hole or find a hole to connect it to the frame. What had happened to mine was the screws came out to we just put the ties in the old screw holes.
I was coming from the bank and hit a stub on the road and i ran over it comepletely, almost runined it but it functions now and runs perfectly. Fixes it right up, we drove 200 miles without it on and the engine was heating up a bit(not over heating but hotter than normal, i have a supersized radiator thats tripple the thickness or the stock radiators to keep it extra cool). When we got the car is was overheating by itself and the tripple thickness radiator was $150 brank new, i forgot what it comes on but its works very well.
Yeah those air dams are very important in cooling th car, vital in the summer.

WE had it in the trunk too.
