Critique my first polishing job:)

Here is a set of Micky Thompson aluminum valve covers that I have been working on. When I first got em they both looked like utter ***, 10 times worse then the one on the right!

I basicaly clean them up the best I could, then sanded off the grease with a heavy grit paper. I then did a proper sanding job(320 grit, 400 grit, steel whool). Lastly, I polished them by hand using a terry cloth and mothers mag and aluminum polish.

What do you guys think? If the other one turns out as good as the first, Im gonna start on my rims!:lala:

it looks like you got the right idea, but you just need to do more of every step. You've got to make sure it's sanded smooth, then polish it until it looks like a mirror. Yours is getting there.
