How much for Air Brush

Alright quick question, I want to get a girl airbrushed onto the hood of my car. It’s going to be my girl-friend and instead of having a 3rd gen bird for close to $200 I’ll get me my girlfriend airbrushed onto the car.

Please don’t give me crap about, how do you know you'll last and it’s like a tattoo and you can’t get rid of it.

I want this done and about the size of a hood bird, how much would that be to do. I'm going to get her to come where ever I get the painting done and her to pose for the painting.

thanks,
shane

Please give me strait up quotes.

yeah d00d you wouldn't believe how hot she is. Way too beautiful for me but yet she still loves me. Only reason she cant be a model is becuase shes had a kid and shes got major strech marks man. But the artist isn't gonna put them on the car.

She wants it to look like a caricature with her surfing(she cant surf anymore, accident, titanium plates in foot)

A rather large portrait of your GF on the hood of you car will cost Thousands of $$$$ easily!!! And the more detail, the more thousands it may cost. I had a tank done on a Harley I had years ago with a wizard on the streched Fatbob tanks. Cost me well over $800 and that was with little detail, as it was fogged over to make the face of the wizard look far back and mystical.

Damn it she’s just going to have to wait. I was hoping $400, because that’s a pretty decent price for an air brush. What about maybe $600, do you think they could do it for that? I mean that’s how much I paid for my entire car to be painted, $673. But she’s worth it. Day after graduation is our wedding date. The only thing is, we are juniors, lol.

I think after I get done with my wheels and interior I’ll get this done. I'm going to get some ROH snypers and some new seats, carpet the entire interior (the plastic panels), and a 4th gen Console (97+). MY list is huge guys.

---------------------------

97+ 4th Gen Console $50
Seats $100
Carpet interior panels $?
4th Gen Dash $300
Carpet $115
Rear Seat Covers $?

----------------------------

ROH Snypers 17in $180 (x 4)
Cooper Zeon 2XS Tires $120 (x 4)
4th Gen Style Wing $450

----------------------------

4x6 Speakers $80
6x9 Speakers $100
Fiberglass the 6x9 baffle $?

-----------------------------

LT1 Engine $900
Accessories for install $500
Performance Upgrades $1500

-----------------------------

Thanks,
Shane

It’s like this,

Shane will you stay here at work with me; you’re working for 5 hours, I know..... Please... alrigggghhhhttt..

But she’s an excellent girl man. Won’t get any better anywhere else in the world. Shes beautiful(blonde) and she’s smart, she’s got 8 IQ points lower than me, she’s got a 150 and I got a 158.

d00d your gf sounds totally hot lots of stretch marks from the kid she had before her junior year of HS and a titanium plate in her foot! No wonder you want to get an awsome $400 airbrush job of her on your hood. Maybee you could send me the picture and I could get it put on my hood too..and then your girlfriend would be on a firebird and a camaro. I'd have to have sex with her too...but thats probably not a problem. Woah...maybee we could both have sex with her at the same time in each of our cars....oh does she do DV DA?

I know an airbrusher, guy owns like 15 harley's, all custom painted by him. He owns a late c3 and he told my friend if he could do a motor swap on it (because those things have slow stock motors) hed do a total custom paint job anyway he wanted it on my buddies yamaha r1. My advice, become friends with an airbrusher and trade a favor for a favor or get ready to pay out the @ss.

edit:dvda, I havent heard that in a while

alright guys, heres a discription fo her. She is 5'3" and ways 110lbs, she got blonde hair, and has a big ***, but she has a B cup; but the B cup is proportional to her size ya know. . She isn't ugly by any means. She is perfect. I dont care if shes had a kid, i mean so what. She deserves something better then what she would have. When i graduate i'm gonna a join the Air Force and suppot her that way. Nothing wrong in that. I dont care if she has a kid, just something to start out with earlier. All my family is married to their highschool sweet hearts also. I dont wanna break that, its not like i have to either, she loves me and i love her. Nothing more to it.

I'm thinking maybe 2ft x 2ft painting, closer to the nose of the car. Maybe it'll be a little cheaper, maybe around $400.

She got the titanium plate in her foot from surfing, anyone who surfs usually isn't ugly.

I knwo what semtrical means but what did you mean by it? Shes gonna be surfing on a wave which will make it round already. So that wa sa useless comment.

thanks,
shane

Alright guys, this isn't cool. Don’t be dissing my g/f because I don’t take lightly to it. Please stop the foolishness. I can’t beat you guys a**es over the net so a kind warning will have to do.

It isn't cool, for all you single people who cant get none to be making fun of other people’s girl friends.

And also she is almost 19(2 months) so she is allowed, pretty much, to have kids.

I don’t respect anyone who makes fun of people I love in any way. Even if I set myself up for it, which I might have, it doesn’t excuse your immaturity for the situation.

Thanks,
Shane

i just had to get my word in cause any minute its gonna get locked. 19 and a junior is bad, 19 a junior with a kid is worse, 19 a junior with a kid and failed 9th grade (and another i assume since she is 19) is the worst. And Definally get it done on the hood, but get another hood to have it done on so when u break up/get a divorce/leave her/she leave u its just a quick 4 bolts back to new again

alright guys, please get the thread back on topic and while i report the one d00d for saying such thing, can we try to keep this focused on the price and weather or not i should do it. I want her to be on the hood, but not i want her to be on the nose where those little birds would be about 1ft x 1ft, then some on the doors the same size. What would you think of this guys? Should i just get some custom decals made or what, that way i can take them off?

thanks,
shane

Well to start, I don't think its going to look very good
If you want it on the nose and the doors its going to get even more expensive though, and your trying to keep the price down here...
How well can you, her, or anyone else you know draw? I know you can get custom decals for windows from a drawing, but i'm not sure about ones that go on the car. Either way it isn't going to be cheap.

I know some very excellent artist that draw stuff on PhotoShop with their Pen Pads. It will look professional in every way. The thing is about how much would this size decal be?

Also since my car is Platinum with black extremities, what colors should be focused on, maybe a grey scale or what? Can I also scan a photo then get him to draw her onto a wave? I don’t know much about Photoshop even though I have the version that came out 4 months ago, PhotoShop 8.0 CS. I think I can tip him $70 to draw them and he'll do it. What do you guys think?

Thanks,
Shane

wow you got banned before...surprise, why dont you bother picking up the phone and calling a freaking airbrush shop instead of posting every two seconds on here and trying to brag about your girlfriend, really get a life ..d00d and why dont you not waste the mods time with stupid stuff like this, does it really matter? did I really hurt your feelings that badly? why dont you go ahead and report everyone else who said it was a stupid idea if your gonna bother reporting me.

All I wanted to know was if your gf did DVDA ..I really don't see how thats offensive?

Ok ill give u my honest opinion. Remember, u asked for it!
It will look very tacky. A big waste of money, The idea is completly stupid, and ovisally werent thinking good when u thought of it. If it wasnt bad enough on the hood, u want more on the doors and nose. With all that money u will have spent u coulda had your "mod list" done.

He has a point...
Your best bet is to call a place that does airbrushing and ask, they will give you an accurate price.
For decals maybie a body shop would know how to get them, more than likely they won't though, some import speed shop might have an idea where you can get them if anyone even makes them.

The reason why I don’t pick up the phone and call is because I want to find out if I’m getting ripped off. I don’t know what would be a good price.

And if you are really asking I do find that offensive. I've asked you multiple times to stop. Please stop the DV-DA stuff right now. It is not cool and I don’t appreciate it. You can’t tell me that you wouldn't find it offensive yourself. I find that none of your business, with a long line of other things you've said.

Yeah I know it’s pretty costly but I sort of like the idea. I just would like to implement it somewhere. Maybe on a window or something. Maybe tint like the stuff that’s on city busses.

Also 89cmrodriver, I can truth fully say that this relationship will never end. We are exactly alike but exactly opposite at the same time. We both are at the genius level, and we both have ADD/ODD. But yet she has the same interest I do but then they are different. It’s hard to explain but you know what I’m talking about.

Your best bet is to call a place that does airbrushing and ask, they will give you an accurate price.
For decals maybie a body shop would know how to get them, more than likely they won't though, some import speed shop might have an idea where you can get them if anyone even makes them.
It would have to be done on computer by a graphic design artist and then printed up by a decal or other shop unless there is someone offering both services, typically decal shops just do one color cut outs
:edit: there are companies that do promo cars for companies that print up and cover the complete car, you could contact one of them but its fairly expensive to have something rendered by an artist not to mention printing..

You could get a white decal of a girl surfing and put it on the back window, I don't thik it wouldn't look as bad as if it were airbrushed on the front. But the defroster lines will run over it and you won't be able to tell specifially who it is...

Thanks,
Shane
Thats why you call multiple places.... duh...

You asked me to stop after you had already reported me, and about 4 posts after you said you were reporting me..what gives man? (dont bother changing your posts to make me look worse mods can see when you edit )

And if you want to keep talking about your girlfriend do it somewhere else none of us care, this is a thirdgen related site...

Watch someone’s going to say put her in you license plate, just watch, or you were thinking it.

But what other areas beside the ones I was thinking would work? I mean we saw 2 fast 2 furious, I had already saw it was her first time, and she said hey can you put me on your car. I said uhhhh, I don’t know that’s quite expensive but I’ll see what I can do. Then she goes, please, pretty pleeaaaasssseee. So I said ok. I just don’t think she'll take it lightly as to I’m considering it so much because of the price. I mean we've only been together for almost 2 years, and I’m completely whipped. I know it too, but there’s no way out.

I’m just trying to implement her into the car; she’s always getting onto me for working on my car too much. Even though I stay at her apartment 4 days out of a week. She just wants some of the car to be about her. SO I want to implement her into it.

Yeah d00d the decal on the rear window would be an excellent idea, but, its too small ya know. I'm thinking something big or at least two small decals. Maybe one on the front and Rear. What do you think of that? I mean I’ve already got a decal saying "In memory or Dale Earnheart, 3 times Winston cup champion".

Please be honest,

Shane

She also related to the topic, and there is sort of a story behind the topic also, so leave it. You’re just trying to turn your rudeness into my being the one to get in trouble. Although I have done nothing wrong except give details worthy of being on this article. If you have a problem, then leave this thread. No body wants you hear anyways so this is a formal, good bye

You have a very nice car and its not going to be as nice after you do this. But, its your car do what you want with it.

I would definatly stay away from a decal on the front window for visibility/legal reasons. Its illigle to have one on the back window too, but most cops will let that go unless they're in a bad mood, the front I think you would get a ticket every two weeks or so for that.

I have another idea, why don't both of you stop arguing.

Alright, I’m just going to tell her no, and that I’ll take her out to dinner a couple times to make up for it; even though we go out every other Thursday.

thanks,
shane
