also does it make a diffrence were the pcv hole and breather holes is located...does it have to be the same spot?
thanks in advance

Yeah those look like they are too short to fit roller fulcrum rockers in there.. I'd check to see what you have first...

no i did not build this engine i got it it with alot of work done already and i am just trying to pick up were the dude left off. I did not know if it had rollers at first so I had a mechanic shop to check it and let me know if had them and the dude said it did. lol i dont know much about cars but I am learning a lot I know the basics though lol..i learn as i go along and learn a lot off this site. so no this is not a joke i am just a beginner trying to learn about cars by asking questions on this site and people I know. so please dont mind my stupid questions lol.. so what u guys are saying is that there can not be roller on because my valve covers?? so what do tall valve covers look like?? i seen pics of tall valve covers on the net and they all looked the same size as mine so that why i though i had tall ones.. guess not..pluse i seen other valve covers that are lower then mine and i figured they were the normal ones..
how can I tell for sure if I got rollers or not?
oh when i say full rollers i dont know if there is a half rollers or what...dude just told me i got rollers>theres a perfect example that i dont know much lol

You could have roller tip rockers... Roller fulcrum rockers (or "full roller rockers") have roller bearings for the tip and for the part that goes onto the stud... For full roller rockers you also need to use a different type of nut (they're called poly-locks) that uses an allen set screw to fix them in place (as opposed to the pinch thread design of a stock rocker nut)... Because of this, you need more upward clearance in your valve covers...

Ok, here's a picture to illustrate a tall valve cover.. This was my '88 bird which had crane full roller rockers... You can see I have the same valve cover hold downs as are on your car... Look how little space there is between the T and the top of the valve cover...

Hope this clears things up a little...

No problem... At least now you know that you don't need the really tall valve covers (which can be a pain as far as clearance with the a/c box goes)...
