Before & After - Restoration of My car
Well, its taken a couple years but its almost there. Some of you have followed along with my "body restoration" thread in the Body/Interior board, so you already have basically seen what it came out like. What I started out with was a stock 87 Z28 with a blown 305 and rust everywhere. Here's some before pics-

And now the after pics (new fenders, doors, hood, quarters, grille, spoiler, paint). As you can see I still have to put on my rocker emblems, mirrors and door handles, and reinstall my interior...but you get the idea-

Next up for appearance items will be wheels (hopefully Boyds, or something wild like those). Monte Carlo LS headlights, new interior, and that should be it.

That is one mean looking ThirdGen. It doesn't matter what engine you have under the hood, the looks of that alone will inspire fear in even the most ardent racer.
Good work!

Thanks for the comments guys. I'd like to also say thanks to Chickens Customs since he did all the bodywork and paint.

That's a very nice change. I really don't like red (at all) but, it's a very nice blend with the ghost 'flames'. Im not much on the all red nose (personally prefer the contrast of black against color) but, it still gels nicely with the overall look of the car. Now, quit using my old avatar

nice improvement
but needs more improvements
needs new rims
needs to be lowered badly, holy ******* look
and i think the hood is way too big ugh but that's my personal opinion. and i don't like the grille that color, need a black one, but my personal opinion again.

No problems with opinions
Everyones got their own taste.
New wheels are on the top of my list. Won't happen this summer but hopefully summer of 2005! I'd like to get either 17's or 18's at the most. The car will not be lowered, mostly because the roads around here are so bad...my car would bottom out everywhere I go, and the front ground effect would get destroyed
It dissappoints me because t's hard enough to drive without scraping as it is.
Thanks for the comments though

Wow, that looks much better man. I love the ghost flames and the ghost bowtie on the hood. Nice job.

Wow, that is incredible. Nice job on that car!! I really like the Chevy logo on the cowl hood, it flows with the flames and looks really good. That's one of the nicest I've seen on the boards, can't wait to see it with rims......

the car looks pretty good but it needs some fog lights. Also, the ghost flames are cool but at certain angles they just look like a film on top of the paint. Other then that, once its got some new rims, it will look sweet.

You did a great job on the flames without over doing it. That is how flames should look. They are sweeping and subtle and blend in just right without and eyeball poping colors. Nice job...

I would have went with a smaller cowl, but I just couldn't beat the price I bought that hood for. I would have prefered a 2.5 or 3". But on the bright side, it leaves me room for future engine buildups...hehehe
