Since I learned that Armor-All is not good for rubber/plastic/vinyl, I switched to Meguire's protectant.

A good way to use up all your Armor-All is to spray your wheelwells after you wash your car. Sounds stupid, but it actually makes them look really nice.

get FOAM spray window cleaner... ammonia free if you have tint.
wipe it with NEWSPAPER.... yup.. newspaper... it works.
lay the newspaper across the dash so that when you spray the inside of the winshield, it doesnt get on the dash and dry it out....

qtips get in places other methods cant... a example would be the lil edge around the heater controls between them and the center console panel...

Meguire's natural shine is the bomb shiznit for everything plastic in your car... and in the case of a 3rdgen, thats everything... dash, even the steering wheel.. just let it dry and its slip free.

1) I always used to use a rag for tire shine, until I found those tire dressing spreader pads. They are curved to fit the tire and don't soak up all the tire shine. It cut the time it takes to shine my tires in half, and I don't go through half a bottle of tire shine every time anymore.

2) Meguires natural shine is some good stuff to use for the interior.

3) Put some air freshner under both front seats. No one will ever see them and your car will always smell good.

4) "The absorber" works way better than a chamois, absorbs much more water and cuts drying time way down.

5) Meguires gold class is by far the best wax and is very easy to remove.

ps- I swear I don't work for meguires......

I do the same thing. I had some Eagle one Spray stuff that sucked and dripped off my tires so I decided to try it out by spraying it under my wheel wells for shows. It really makes a difference.

what about something to protect the dash pad from cracking but doesnt make it shine. I used to use this stuff, i cant think of the name if it right now, but it made the dash pad shine so much when i drove the car the sunlite would blare on the dash pad and all i could see in the windshield was the dash pad.

anyone know of any good stuff to use on rims? i have the formula rims and they are a pain in the *** to clean. loose dirt and dust comes off easy but i hate having to scrub hard to get the hard dirt stuck to the wheel. looks as if it were stained. anything out there that i can spray on or something and then wipe off the hard dirt with less effort?

also what does the absorber look like?

I tried baby oil, it made it shine more.
My rims are a pain in the *** to clean too.I bought that spray on hose off wheel cleaner and went to one of those do it yourself car washes. Sprayed the rims, let it sit, then sprayed them off with the high pressure hose.
Reminds me with all the snow we've been having here i need to get to the car wash soon.
