RS wheels, centercap ?

I want to replace the center caps on my stock wheels. I don't want the stock ones though. I have seen RS wheels (I am assuming aftermarket) on other things like Blazers and trailers and what not. These wheels looked brand new with a silver painted, smooth, contour molded center caps instead of the ugly black cap that is just over the hub.

I want a set of those silver painted, smooth, contour molded caps. I can't afford wheels now, and I think these caps make these wheels look 10 times as nice.

Let me know, because I can't find these anywhere!!!

Look at http://www.gmgoodwrench.com/gmgoodwr...461&section=pp

under the GMPP ZQ8 Aluminum Wheel Package you can find info for "WHEEL ACCESSORIES AND RELATED ITEMS".

the S10s got the same wheels...

so you can use the smooth cover from thoes...

the S15s got ones that are the same, but say GMC inside..

the new malibu has covers that look exactly like the camaros, except they have a carbonfiber look middle, with a sliver bowtie.

all just snap in place and fit like stock... all are availble thru GM at a decient price too.

Whoops, my mistake!

Wrong wheels. I should have been more specific. I am talking about the wheels that came on the RS in 92, but was on the Z28 back in 85. The 15x7's. I know you can buy them aftermarket, I just don't know where.

oooh... other wheels.. like those on the car in this pic:
gotcha.

yea, the blazer one with the red bowtie fit right on there.

you have to use GMs lugnuts, and buy these plastic lugnut caps

the lugs go on. then you put the cover over the center, then the plastic lugs screw onto the GM lugnuts to hold it on.

i have a set of these rims in my garage im trying to get rid of.. lol.

my dad has the same rims on his 94 blazer.. thoes caps are nice.

if i didnt have 91 16" rims, id probly have thoes caps.

GM

tell them to look for a 1994 S10 Blazer. V6 with tahoe package

you should be able to see the part on his screen to double check its the right one.

then write down the part number.... after you have it written, as him how much. just be sure its written down so you dont get the wrong one. btw, im pretty sure the lugs on the blazer are metric, so if yours are metric you're cool.. if not, you have to find some other nuts that fit and have the external threads for the caps (i forget what car they're from, but GM made them).. if yours are metric, you're cool.
to check, take off a lug and look at the stud. if it has a M on it, its metric.

then goto http://www.gmpartsdirect.com/ and see how much its costs INCLUDING SHIPPING..

remember, you need the cap, lug nuts and the plastic nut covers.

then get them wherever its cheaper

i saved $20 on my bowtie grill doing that. but some smaller parts are cheaper from the dealer because of shipping.

Still no luck!!

Thanx for all the help guys, but I am still not getting the ones I wanted. One GM site doesn't have any pictures, and I am a firm believer of seeing something before I order it. Maybe I will have to go to my local Chevy dealer and try them. Dammit, dammit.

If anyone knows what I am talking about throw me a bone.

Nah, I'm cool, thanx though man.

Thanx MrDude. I appreciate all the effort man. Sorry about your dads car, hope everything works out there.

I had one more question. Do they make those caps that cover the lugs? Or lugs come through all of them?

Now, hopefully GM won't want an arm and a leg for them.

nope, all of them are held on by the plastic lugs... they do look smooth on the car though.

GM parts direct ( www.gmpartsdirect.com ) says:

GM LIST: $28.37
OUR PRICE: $16.74

thats for the covers... i dont know about the lug covers.

your best bet is probly to call around a few wrecking yards. you should score everything you need for around $20 that way.

Yeah, I went by the local Chevy dealership yesterday and they didn't know ****. But of course all they were doing was looking at one in the computer. I don't even think that the part number you gave to me was the part shown on the computer. That is pretty damn frustrating when a dealership doesn't even know what the hell is up.

The GM site doesn't have any pictures, so I don't want to order them and get the wrong ones. I'll just wait till I see them on someones vehicle and then go steal them. j/k

If I could find an official site with these with a picture, I would feel alot better.
