I don't think you'll see many LT5s, lol... they are worth more than most of the cars here.

Do a search on "FLYNLOW92RS" I think is his name... he just recently had an LS1 installed in his Camaro.

Came on the performance package for the 90-93 vettes I think. I think I have the years wrong but it was for the top package for the vettes.

Pretty sure it was offered up until 95. The '96 C4/GS got the LT4.

It's a dual overhead cam engine designed by Chevrolet and I "think" Lotus. Each cylinder has 2 runners. The first is only used for low RPM's so it has tons of torque, but then the secondary runners opem during WOT. It's a BMF

I recently read an article where the ZR1/LT5 spanked the ZO6 in the quarter. the ZO6 is a better car, and the LS6 is by far a "better" engine, but the LT5 had some *****!!! I think in the end it was just toooo expensive, and hard to work on.

The camaro with the LT5 looks like a PPG showcar. I would see them all the time when I would go to the Indy Car races here in Nazareth. That would explain the paint job, all of their showcars were painted up like clown cars. And yes, they sure are the Firehawk(Ronal R15)wheels on it painted flo yellow. It makes me cry to see them like that.

Nope, it's just an LT1 painted red. I had a brain fart last year and sold my LT4 heads/intake setup.
Car should lower itself when everything is back in. Engine bay is pretty empty in those pics.

i think the lt5 is a better engine imo. DOHC is a much better design than OHV, but as far as ohv motors go, the ls6 is easily the best engine to date imo.

Hood doesn't weigh much and I have a blanket between it and the t-tops.

That intake tubing was made by a friend of mine from some 4" steel tubing that is used on mack trucks. It's 2 pieces welded together to get the right bends.

Here is a better picture of it,

$600 That is a great deal.

You should not have any real problems. The mounts are now available from Spohn. Mine were custom fabbed at Speartech. If you plan on keeping the AC you need to notch the k-member. Otherwise your biggest challenge will be wiring. VSS will be an issue in Camaros under 1991 and Firebirds under 1987.

$600, ****almost faints****

Where in the world did you get it for $600 with rotating assembly? I'm thinking maybe just the block but not the entire engine. Thats crazy.

Where is LS1 Speed? Do they only deal w/ Fourthgens? I wouldn't take my car to anyone, as I like doing everything myself, but just curious b/c I'm not to far from Schaumburg.
