Badges? Do I need any stinking badges?

Well, here's my idea and delimma. I have a 1988 SC that I am doing a ground up restoration+ on. If you have seen any of my posts on my engine or suspension you know that the car will be a performer. The problem is the SC came with "Camaro" badges, where you would see the RS or Z28. I want to change that. I don't want to put IROC or Z28 badges on, because frankly it's not one. I really liked TPIROC's SS badges, but not sure if that is the way I was going to go. I found a guy locally that can reproduce the SS badges, however, change it to say SC, same look, but than it will have the correct designation. Now the Sport Coupes are the base models, and this car will be anything but, just not sure if I should go with the SS badges, SC badges, or g0d forbid Z28 or IROC badges. Any ideas?

SC, or nothing.

SC would actually be indicative of what the car is, anything else would be fake. Plus, it'd be unique, as I've never seen an SC badge like that before.

If you have a guy that can to some repro badges or even modify them, I'd just have some "Camaro" ones made up, but bigger, not the original ones that would've come on it.

I mean, that way no matter what it becomes, Its still a camaro, and not just an SC.

Putting Z28 or IROC on a car that isn't one or isn't a clone of one is, IMO, the same as putting "Type R" badges on it.

i think some custom sc badges would be interesting and worth looking into for the rest of us that have sports coupes.

Either get those custom sc badges or leave it alone, don't make it something it isnt. Just my humble opinion

That's what I was feeling. I am having them made up right now. They will look like the Silverado SS badges, but say SC. I didn't like hte SS badges for the 4th gen's as much as the silverado ones.

I'm thinking I want to just shave the badges off my car when I redo it this summer. Maybe even the front emblem too. How do shaved emblems look? (I was thinking I'd just fill them in with fg or something?
