ummm its stock, as far as i know since it still has the 1982 i think belt routing sticker on it and the sticker that says 5.0 305ci and whatnot

and my daydream plan that i have for this car (if i keep it). Is to strip it back down and paint it a nice silver with some color blue ss stipes, put on 80-81 z2 fender vents (sittin in my room), hawks 5'' spoiler molded to body, 15% tint on sides and back, shave the stock emblems off the rocker panels and put 69 z28 emblems on the fenders , 4'' harwood hood, not sure on rims, probably lower it and change exuast....again, get a set of new taillights and either mold on a better set of blakc outs or do something with the blakc outs on the rear, either 4th gen leather seats or sparco racing seats with 5 point harness, either 6 or 8 point roll bar (dependin on the motor), new carpet, fix and get rid of all the rattles and what not from the interior panels, and do something with my system in the back like make it more presentable.

thats my list, lol wow thats one huge sentence, oh well its just the internet :lala:

LOL the shifter is something from B&M, some idiot kid that sold me the car stole that out of the junkyard, it was in a truck and put it in my car, i kinda like it mainly becuz no one else has this style in a 3rdgen and i dont like the megashifters.

id like to buff the paint out but it was painted alittle over 3 yrs ago and ive been told the old the paint gets the harder it will be to buff out. that and i have a few new spots where rust has started to show up at, a few door dings, the car needs work. every panel has to be replaced or repaired to get rid of the rust that has been killed/slowed down. when i did the body work at school, i sand blasted the major parts and we used a rust stopper/preventor sealer on the bare metal.

I'd say do some work on the rims, If you have the money get at least some 16" like 91-92 z's or after market. If you are tight on money at least sand down the lip of the rims and polish'em up and replace the center caps. For some reason the tires on the back look too big, like snow tires. maybe its just the pic...

Nice car..

i got a cool plan , keep those stock rims, but have them widened to like 10 inches, then keep some drag radials on there and youll have awesome traction and people wont know a thing is different except when they see the rear of the car after you some them .

^ That's a cool idea.
Or get some light drag wheels. They'll look good as 15s, are already wide, and would go nicely with the drag theme of the interior.

i already got a set of pro star rims and i like them better then the draglites. i was goin to get the draglites but i think it was Zupmans camaro with the prostars on it that made me change my choice.

do u guys know if places that tint windows carry the good stuff like 3m or that uv tint? ive been in a few cars and some are cooler then others when its hot out.

Image removed- three images attached per thread please

I think your car looks sweet! With the last pic all you need is rims for the front.

Change the rims, lower it, ditch the stickers, leave the engine bay how it is, leave the interior how it is OR change to 4th gen seats and console. I'm very against the cowl hood. It's bad *** to have a 4" cowl because you need the engine clearance, it's very very sad to have a 4" cowl because you think it looks cool, it's no better than r1ce to me.

Id just add matching front rims.. they looks real nice..
and tires are cheaper that size ... ( just a thaught)

The best would be 91-92 gfx ... then it would look perfect.

my thoughts are your car looks sweet as it sits right now. my ideas if ti were my car would be 15% tint on sides 5% tint on back hatch, hawks 5" spoiler, keep the back window stickers, put the eibach drag spring set, keep the weld prostars on back and get matching prostar 15x3.5's for the front with skinnys, 4" cowl hood, keep the stock gfx and badges, keep just straight black, 80-81 z fender vents, blackouts on back and front, leave interior alone! well maybe sparco racing seats with 5 points.new antifreeze and washer fluid bottles, leave exhaust alone (aerochamber rocks)... um thats all i can think of for right now

Call the places and ask what kind of tint they use. Also, go to a place that warrenties their work and that does the hatch in one piece. Some places will use strips to tint the hatch, and that looks kinda cheap. Good tint with a warrenty will cost, but it'll be very worth it.

I would say- tint, polish up your rims, and loose the back stickers. a 4 inch cowl and the 5 inch spoiler is gonna look nice

The engine looks GREAT, and the interior looks good too. I'd lose the blackouts, and look into some inexpensive rim ideas (IROC rims or 91/92 perhaps). As far as stance, I'm all for dropping it, but if you're serious about racing you'll want to keep weight transfer in mind

I think some chrome 17s would look good with some of the stuff your planning. Torque Thrusts would look awesome, but I know not everyone is loaded with $$$, Thats why I dont have them. Anyway, its great to see another 82 prowling the streets Looks good keep up the good work!

I suggest a 1" or maybe 2" drop, and white lettered tires if you stay with 15" wheels.

Hmmmm, after seeing your car in person, appearance-wise I would say that you need to lower the car, get rims, (like TT2's or the Welds) new tires, remove stickers on hatch and tint the glass or just leave it untinted, and fix your tips. Otherwise that color works good on the car and it'll look nice overall. If you gotta replace every panel you might be better off just saving for another car though.

Nolanr- that looks friekn great, if i did lower my car that much id either have to go back to single exuast or find someone thats great at exuast work to tuck it up, id probably have to make my own crossmember to do so.

yeah about the stickers, there either stayin or leaving after i get the windows tinted, it will be decided then.

and for the 4'' cowl hood, i think when i get the money for my project motor, the motor will give the car a hell of a lot more ball then that hood would. lookin to do a 383 stocker with HSR and single turbo set up(like the one the BBSdesigns (ithink thats them) are making for $2500).

the paint is just too ****y, basiclly id need to get the car fixed in a few spots and then repainted and id like to put the car back to the stock silver it was or give it a better lookin silver.

i started to polish my rims today, i need to get some more pads for my angled die grinder. and i think those are goin to come out nice.

no white letters on this car , some cars can get away with it but not all. thats why i dont have them on my car, had them on it before and hated it.

but if i do go with the 383 and single turbo then im defently lowerin it about 2-3'' depending on how lol i can go and see how it looks, 17'' rims or maybe 18''s , big Baer disk brake upgrade for the front and do a converstion on the rear or if the 10 bolt blows find either a dana44 or get a 12bolt.

i love the black outs on the back so they gotta stay but on the front i just dont like them anymore, i got a brand spankin new set of front black outs from GTS in my room, if anyone wants them $60shipped, i payed almost $75 shipped, and they have the double sided tape holdons not the screw in one even though u can.
