I've got brand name stickers on my radiator cover, and I don't think it's too bad. Just avoid the TYPE-R badges on the coolant overflow tank.

Personally I feel the true showing of an engine is in the merits of the mods themselves - the name brand stickers and what have you only lend themselves to useless clutter.

I would forgo any sort of labeling myself - but I've seen a few engine bays with tastefully done stickers and it doesn't look so bad.

Your choice man!

I get mixed reviews on where I put mine, I think it emits a "muscular" and/or "racing" image. What I like about it is that they're completely concealed otherwise, but when you pop the hood and it's showtime, it compliments all the friggin work and money I dumped... I mean lovingly put into the thing

That's a good example of what I mentioned earlier in this thread. The stickers are nicely arranged and well placed - they don't look so bad at all. I also concede it is rather interesting to see a sort of list of the mods right there in the engine bay....I like that part quite a bit.

I think its fine as long as you actually have the parts the stickers show.

Don't be like the bone stock Civic beside you with NOS stickers all over it, and it actually doesnt have it.

I put all of mine on the '88 Carolla beater.
Its now a Ram Air Carolla, with SLP, Jegs, Comp Cams, and Summit stickers. That plus the rusted hole in the exhaust makes it get quite a few looks.

Personally I hate when people put stickers in the engine bay, hell I dont even like them anywhere for that matter. Just looks too ******* to me. Save the stickers for the beat-up 70s ford trucks with duct tape holding the rear quarters together and the coat hanger rotted out exhaust.

aaahahahaha. that's great stuff, i've seen it too!, lols.

i think stickers are for tooboxes, and performance parts are for cars. mix the two and it's just not cool...same w/ computers and cars.. but that's a diff story.

then again... if your some major bad donkey racer that goes around the country winning drags at strips, and are into NHRA racing.. and have sponsors & the sort, .... if you don't have them on your car, then something's wrong. :-D

Yeah....I think if you wanna do the whole racecar rollcage slicks and skinnies deal, then that's different...stickers are then somehow cool. Not sure why, by they are.

TPIROC:

Your car deserves respect....and I've admired it quite a few times. Given your attention to detail, I'm surprised you have the stickers on your airbox. I really gotta disagree with you on that one! If your car was crappy, it wouldn't even warrant a comment, so take this as a compliment with my "if it were my car" suggestion!

I personally dont mind them under the hood but thats as far as it goes. ANd only under the hood if you have the parts under the hood. Like my msd helicore decal, accel, ravin, etc. my buddy bought a pack of the decals they sell autozone that have mallory and jacobs and all those and slapped em all over his ford' and all he has under the hood is a chrome air lid. I agree with tpiroc they gotta be tastefully applied and do kind of show off the money you've put into it. Worst comes to worst you peel em off eh?

performance parts yes (like edelbrock crane cam) , but for stores such as summit or jegs no way, looks way to cluttered and cheap
