I'm so happy I'm "done" with polishing and all the wheels are finally on my ride. Snapped a few pics and figured I would share.

Yes, yes I know I've been wanting a light mirror tint for some time now but money is a big issue right now, maybee this summer. Im gonna paint my front ground effect and grill and then make some custom polished emblems to match the wheels and get bowtie center caps, clear front and side markers, and maybee make an alum dash kit if I have the time.. but thats probably the only things that will be happening in the near future..cause there cheap

Are those the stock center caps? mine seem like they are plastic,I was wondering how to polish,Did you use same process as the wheels?
Thanks

Yep there stock, there made of plastic but the outer part has a thin sheet of aluminum around it, so you just sand it and polish like the rest of the wheel and be careful not to sand through it. I polished the black plastic center of it that sais Camaro as well using the same process and it worked well, but I would watch out for the chromed plastic I dont know how it would react to polish

Wheels look great bro! I have a friend who has a '92 RS, and he put some aftermarket rims on his car. He got them from Sears, and left the stock rims there!! He'd really be mad now seeing your rims. Grade A man!

Ok so I'm thinking I'm gonna make some polished emblems to match the wheels... just a rough cut out, but what does everyone think? I'm planning on polishing em nicely and then putting body color lettering similar to the stock lettering or maybee black.. not sure

No doubt. Another buddy of mine tried to convince him to go get them, and he never would. Those wheels could have been sweet, or sold for some $. Oh well, his loss. Btw, I like the emblem idea, let me know how it turns out.

lmao I actually put it on there with masking tape... but it was just to see how it looked (in all seriousness I'm actually kinda confused how to apply them since the stock emblems stick out and the aluminum I'm using is fairly thin... Im thinking some thick 3m double sided tac an then putting a thin aluminum strip around the edge to cover up the tape... eh I'll figure it out)
I'll post some pics when I get em finished, its probably gonna take awhile tho as I'm pretty busy these days and have a few little projects going on with my car

pass the airplane glue, we need more fur!

Good job on the rims, they look great.
If you don't mind I have a couple questions.
The inner part thats grey, what did you do with that, just polish it the same way as the rest of the rim?
What did you do with the grooves, are those painted black or polished? How did you get in there for sanding/polishing?

I didnt do anything to the inner part, tho I should have atleast cleaned it up a bit while the wheels were off.. polishing would have looked really nice, but I didnt really have time for that, maybee later. As far as the grooves I just used sand paper, and on the sides of the spokes I used a black and decker mouse to sand and then painted. If you have any more q's pm me.
