Source for 16" 88-90 IROC wheels

Currently I have the 15's on mine - I'd like a bigger/wider wheel but want to keep stock appearance thus I've been looking for some similar style wheels in 16x8 size - and have NO luck. Even watching ebay you almost never see a descent set of 88-90 IROC wheels there. Any other ideas for where to look???

I've been considering GTA wheels with the cross laced part gold (car in dark red metallic with black and gold pin striping and tan interior) - sound like a descent look?? I still think 16" IROC wheels would look better but are proving very had to come by.

you should consider some chrome or silver 85-87 IROC wheels.. they're more common and available from 16x8 - 20x9

check out hawks, they have a lot of stuff and they also see a lot more cars pass their way so they might be able to find something for you .

Here's a pic of my car - heck, if anybody has any other ideas, feel free to speak the heck up! The louvers are now off the car too - but that's off the subject - one of the brackets broke.........

Stick it out man.......you'll find a set.

If you actually "wanted" something different, that's be one thing, but don't give up.....

...I'm not looking for a set, but I remember seeing them quite a bit. I guess it all goes in cycles..... I've got my eyes open!

.....I'd check Hawk's, but of course, there price will be higher than Ebay.

I don't know if it's allowed here, but I sell IROC wheels (aftermarket replicas).. Don't worry, i'm not going to go around the site spamming my company, just offering an alternative..

I've checked around and to my knowledge no one makes an aftermarket wheel in the 88-90 style..

I'd love to get my hands on a set of 15" IROCs for my Vega..:hail: That would rule..

I'm considering the 18" IROCS. But I wish they went wider than 18x8 for the rears.

What's the widest tire that fits and looks right on a 18x8 rear?

hey GenghisJohn,
You could go with 255s.. I have a set of Remington 255 50 ZR 16s I could sell you for like $50 a tire if you're interested. They have a bunch of wear left. I got them off an '85 Vette I parted out.

I wouldn't go much larger than a 255 unless you like a lot of rubber sticking past the bead.

Call me at 909-314-5966 if you'd like or you can PM me and I'll call you. Take care,
Colin

That guy is crazy expensive! I can sell you almost TWO rims for what he charges for one. In chrome even. I currently have 18x8s in chrome on sale for $220 a piece.

Here's a picture of some 18s in polished I sold..
