there is a def. lack of 'stock' class cars. i guess that says something about the owners of cars here.

Just chiming in to say good luck to everyone, i don't plan to win, so i will congratulate the winners now (well Kandied isn't competing, maybe a do have a chance afterall)

in case anyone cares why i didnt enter...i had 2 reasons...
1. the quality of my pics are horrible..
2. i wouldnt win anyways because the amount of "haters" on this site would make it an unfair competition for me.

but..i would like to say good luck to all of the contestants.

iroc2nv that's a pretty poor attitude. if you don't have enough confidence in your car maybe it's your own outlook that should be changed. while your style may not be as revered as the common stock looking car that doesn't mean it doen't have a chance at anything.......however i have yet to ever see a quality picture of your car so that in itself would have hurt you anyhow.

there are only a handful of judges for this thing and i can assure you that none of them are biased or part of the small group of regular people that bash other cars.

this is something that was meant to be fun, it had a relatively low turn out but there were some great cars and it has been very hard to judge. i hope that everyone who has entered (especially those who were disqualified and those who have new pictures) enters for next months show which will be added soon.

again it's all in fun and something to do so have fun with it!

kandied,

dude...not because its you..but in all honesty..you would and are..probably the only one on this board (aside from rev and now flyinlow) that i would have any competition against in the "modifed" category...

to me modified means more then just rims or a motor or something small....modified is something that is out of the norm with attention to detail which you and your car show very well.

there is alot of nice "stock" cars as well as "mild modded" cars...but nothing that i would consider wild status like mine..
like previously stated, yours, revs, and flyinlow (possibly carzys) cars are in that group..heavy modded..

i believe that in the interest of fun..everyones car is a nice ride, but when you start to say and get into categories there is not one category that any car can sit in..i understand that..

i was also just merely stating that i knew my pics are shat and i know that that would have been a major falling out for me.. im also just gettin rather sick of the attitude from the "STOCKERS" onm this board because they are too scared to do something "different" to their cars..

now that that rather blown out waste of air has been said..i would also like to reinnerate the "good luck" quote i said as well..

I agree, you are the only person that you have to satisfy when it comes to modding a car. Who cares if someone else does not like it.

hey iroc2nv, i've seen one pic of your car but it was very dark and I couldn't really see the work you've done. It'd be cool if you could get some better pics taken. At least then those who love or hate it have more fuel for their arguments. lol

hey kandied

and everyone else FYI
I had up page 7 way before friday I had them up like tues or wed. and the full car done and up on wed or thurs. at the latest.
It doesn't matter now though anyways. I knew before I entered I had no chance in the mod class. If we do another I will be going to try the street clas because I really only have appearance mods and not very many of them done.

Calm down, It was posted on the board for a week. The 6 classes were stock, street, and modified Camaro and firebird. They may end up having another next month, but it will be up to you to check the board and enter your car.

i'll be honest with you this is a bunch of b.s. some of the things that are being posted and what i've been emailed goes above and beyond the normal limits i've seen here. the damn thing was up for a week, it was over 2 pages long so it had enough exposure. there were rules to follow which kept it clean and organized. there is no reason to be upset over any of this.

those of you that are complaining because you were disqualified....follow the damn rules! if you had maybe you wouldn't have been taken out. to those of you who entered, helped judge and managed to read english to follow the rules thank you! to the rest of you that are bitching like babies.......get over it and learn to pay attention. everything was clearly stated in print, others didn't find it so difficult.

i've never seen so much b.s over something which such little importance. this sort of thing takes time to look at all the cars get everything together and whatnot while still keeping things fair......there are plenty of cars that should be in this sort of thing and weren't, i don't hear them complaining.

i even had one guy with enough nerve to tell me that he should win when he only submitted 3 photos and 1 showed a good size dent in the car. this "show" was meant to be fun and something to kill time but a few of you have turned it into something that it shouldn't be, some of you need to grow up!

to the rest of you thanks again for helping and submitting pictures and good luck to all of you. the rest of you that have talked about doing another, if your still interested let me know. we will have a page for the next one if it ever comes about.

Shane: "But for real, everyone knows what my car looks like, what category would it be in??"

If we're being liberal about the classifications, you'd be in street. If we're strict about it, modified. I'm not sure if the non-original paint color and the interior modifications would push you over the edge into modified or not. Kandied explained in the original thread exactly what each class consists of.

If my car were at all ready or presentable yet, I would have entered. It sounds like fun if people take it lightly and take it for what it is. Everyone here is proud of their cars so winning or losing this contest doesn't change much.

well my exterior paint isn't a stock color but, i fugured modified would be an after market hood and stuff.

My interior isn't extreme yet. I died the carpet a stock color, and i recovered the door panels. It looks almost stock,

i mean my stuff like the console is painted but is that modifed,

I am interested in entering or judging the next one.
PLease pm or email me when or if we decide to do another.

Also one a side note kandied, If I missed it I'm sorry but I don't remember seeing anything any rule stating that I could not ad new pics and have them count as long as it was within the deadline(firday) sorry if I missed it and it's ok I'm not bitching about it. I just thought they would count I entered not knowing if I'd get painted by then and figured not so it's ok that they didn't count. Just wanted to point that out and say man I'm sory bro if I upset you by mentioning it. I am sorry if I missed that part in the rules but I didn't see it anywere.
Like you enter you enter what you got at the date of entry no updated newer pics allowed. or something of that nature sorry if I may have overlooked it. I didn't mean to cause a stirring of the old bucket of sheet by saying it.

Also am I missing something?
I don't see the winners yet.
I keep thinking you guys have already announced them but I've missed the post.

i have the winners and they will be posted tonight. i haven't had time to be honest because of the large handful of complaint emails i've been getting it's taken more time to explain the rules to some people then it has to organize the show.

if anyone has sent pm's i appologize, i haven't been able to keep up with them either. while this was essentially my idea i'm not the only one behind it. however since my name is really the only one on it i'm getting all the flack which has delayed alot of things.

i'll have it up tonight regardless.......thanks to everyone for being patient.

LOl @ this thread. Once again someone tries to put something together for the thirdgenners and it turns into a gigantic drama. Just once it would be nice seeing some of the people on this site NOT whine and cry.

agreed flyinlow

as for the comment on pl whining and crying I personally would enjoy seeing someone's post on this site not being bashed.
Like example someone posts up a mod they done and doesn't ask for opinions but gets flamed t death and hardly anything good said aboit it.
I would also enjoy seeing some custom cars and not all completely stock ones and for thoose who's aren't stock not get flamed over them being modified.
Sorry to say this kandied...
His car isn't stock that's easy to see.
there are some that aren't and alot that are stock.
but no one rides kandied at al over his.. yes it is very nice I like the car alot myself. But I fel that very limited few get respect for modified cars. and the ones that do are the same ones over and over and over and for newbies w/ modified cars or cheaper mods and ideas or ways or doing things get no respect at all for it.
I am not reffering to myself I got good opinions on my hod and I can care less about what ppl think you build your car for you and no one else. I personally like iroc2nv's car as wel but he catches more guff then good comments he's one example of this. I know ppl have there own opinions on everthing and I respect that, I also respect everyone who does or trys there own work and mods to there cars good or bad, I respect evryone and everythgin prety much because I even respect the guys who do nothing to there cars themselves but pay to get it al done for them. I just beleive there is way too much bashing and flaming w/o being asked for and for no other reason then just to get a fight going just like kandied is talking about all thoose bs pm's and emails about it.
One final note I think their is a LOT of favoritism on this site as well.
ppl should definately stick to the rule of if you got nothing good to say say nothing at al.
I'm sure by now all the emails and stuff kandied got he agrees.

if anyone has sent pm's i appologize, i haven't been able to keep up with them either. while this was essentially my idea i'm not the only one behind it. however since my name is really the only one on it i'm getting all the flack which has delayed alot of things.

i'll have it up tonight regardless.......thanks to everyone for being patient.

Thanks again for putting on the show. If you do decide to this again next month, I'll help out some more and not enter my car. Too bad you had to put up with all of those PM's.

Are they posted yet?

Kandied, PM me about the next ICS. I have time to really make this worthwhile for everyone. A website could work the next time around.

here are the winners:

STOCK CAMARO
1st-82firebirdta
2nd-90rs305-need better shots.
3rd-no car

STOCK FIREBIRD
1st-a88gtanotchback
2nd-85t/taws6-1 picture only really hurt you here.
3rd-no car

STREET CLASS
1st-F-bodee
2nd-Goumba's Ta
3rd-mitchdogg-need better shots, need interior and motor shots.

MODIFIED CAMARO
this was a very difficult class, it really came down to what you could and could not see off of the sites. there were alot of great cars that were not only sharp, but highly modified. had people posted more pictures or better ones at that it could have been a different list.

1st-sbrice18fan
2nd-tunedport 355
3rd-maniacc
AW-84customz28
AW-flynlow92rs
HM-shifty capone
HM-chevyken

(AW-award winner, HM-honorable mention)

MODIFIED FIREBIRD
1st-jcsws6
2nd-sonar_un
3rd-scotts 85ta

so there you have it. thanks to everyone who entered and those who helped judge as well as those who made things a pita! there were alot of cars that deserved to be mentioned somewhere on the lists and just didn't have enough to get there.

for those who plan on the next one make sure you have a very easily read page as well as good detail shots of as many parts of your car as you can. 100 pages of photos doesn't help...only makes it worse, fit it all on one page. if you need a second page use it for description of mods only. photos that are taken in low light and crazy angles are useless. remember the cars were not only judged on modifications but also what we could see. if there is no pic under the hood it's considered closed and you loose points. certain things are and were taken into consideration but there are rules that have to be followed.

again congrats to everyone!!

That is some good news, thanks ! There were some sweet modified Camaros in that class of which at least 6 different cars could have won the class. Congratulations to all of the winners.
