Now, here's the kind of cars I like to see someone ask an opinion about. That's a good looking Bird, man. Like others have said though, make the car like you want it, but don't go overboard with too many graphics. Great job!

I must say that is one sharp looking bird man...good job. It's refreshing to see something TASTEFUL done instead of mesh grilles with ******* headlamps or fur covered headliners.
Good job!!!

Again, do you have any larger pictures for my background?
But about the wheels, I would stick with 4th gen 17" wheels, ZR1s, or some Firehawks:hail:

Looks good! Done very TASTEFULLY. Yet it's still different. hmmm
The 97 Hurst TA was originally going to be what I was going to "copy". But after I got it all painted black I couldn't see putting the stripes on it.
I'd complete the look and get the 17" WS6 wheels and have them gold anodized like the Hursts had. That would really complete the car.
Good job.

IROCtheRoad, I'll get some better pics when it's done and get them to you. See below about the rims.
KarpsTA, I really don't want any 5 spoke rims, everyone has them now on everything. Hawks is talking about doing some 17 inch GTA rims, so I might go that direction,, if they get the price down. Thanks for the compliment.

VERY NICE alot of the time people post pics and the car is a "ME TOO" car. YOu know copied from someone elses car. Your car is original looking and VERY nice.

Camaro-Mayhem, Hey, those are pretty nice, cheaper than the Fikse and the Hawk 17 inch GTA rims. But FLYNLOW is right I want Gold, maybe they can do it.

What about the firehawk style ronal rims? BUt instead of red or black accents on there have it the same color gold thats on your car accenting your wheels. Just a though but not really sure how it would look. Then again, thats prolly not the style you want.
in which case i would just wait for hawks!

Danteschick, as much as I love the way my hood looks I think the ASCD SS hood is the PERFECT hood for the 82 - 92 Camaro's. But, it's still gotta be BLACK!

Looks sharp. I especially like the way you've blended the '89 nose and the '92 GFX in with the RA2 hood and 4th gen wing.

Well don`t kill me but I don`t like it. The car looks like **** IMHO . The 3rd gens look aerodynamic and that`s it`s beauty. When someone puts a RAM AIR hood like `98+ WS6 wannabe it ruins everything. I do not want to offend the owner by any means! I just don`t like it. Maybe with some 18" rims it would look nicer...

The ram air hoods just seem out of place on a 3rd gen to me, they dont flow with the lines very well.

yeah well i wount say it looks like **** though. I mean it would suck if everyone did the same thing to their cars. My car still kinda stock on the outside minus the rims and shaved ant. Im still trying to think of what i want to do next.
It is a very nice car though.. :hail:

Absolutely sweet... someone else also said it, but....
I can't figure out how you put 4th gen parts on a 3rd gen, and came out like a 2nd gen! Gorgeous!

Actually I wanted a totally unique look, something that no one else had done.
I have had (3) 1972 Mustang Mach 1's and I loved the looks of them. But I gave up on Fords after blowing up 2 motors in a row. I noticed the 3rd gen T/A has very similar lines to the old Mach 1's I used to drive so I got one.
I loved the look of the Hurst/Lingenfelter T/A paint scheme so I went with it, I even gave the Pontiac HP magazine with the article on it to the body shop so they could match the paint.
I felt the 89 GFX were a little plain but the 91-92's were very swoopy/aero so I chose to put them on. I don't really like the 91-92 cat's eyes front end so I kept the 89 GTA nose.
I wanted a wing and hood similar to the 72 Mach 1 and these were the closest I could come to them.
Strange, but true!
A 1972 Mach 1 Pic for comparison.

Re: Meet the 1989 Nighthawk!
Well, I now go by 89Nighthawk not 89Warbird. But it's still me. I'm giving the Nighthawk to my son (16) so I'm getting ready to build the Nighthawk II. I'm going to put the GMPP LS 376/480 motor in it, but I can't decide whether to go with an automatic or manual tranny. I'm going to do pretty much the same but I'm going to add roof rails to the Nighthawk II. I'll also go with different rims, not sure what on that either. Who makes 17" or 18" cross lace rims?

I think the Year One wheels for the newer Burt Reynolds edition Bandit TA would look good on that car. Not crosslace, but they do make them in the larger sizes.
