hey guys, would my car look a lot better if I polished these wheels and added an SS hood and then painted the car black? or how about leaving the wheels black and painting the car black as well. I already have the SS hood , it just needs to be put on. My car needs a paint job and I am sick of looking at the silver. I was thinking of black. My interior is all black with silver accents. Im looking for just a 2 color theme to my car. black and silver.

Love the wheels!

If you are going to repaint it, black will look awesome especially with an SS hood. In that case I would keep the wheels black as well.

By the way, what are the specs on those wheels?

Those rims are sweet! What size are they?
Do you have any full res. pics with them on the car?

In regards to paint, I would keep the silver.
Silver with the black and polished rims looks great.

Silver is just a nice color and easy to take care.
Black paint on the other hand is a bitchh. Everytime you want to wash or wipe the car, you will have to think ahead of the best way to do it.
It is so damn simple to put scratches in the paint, and with a black car, you will see ALL of them!

Your car would look alot better black with ss hood. If you dont paint the car black, i dont think the wheels look good black either.

I like the black wheels, I say goto the ss hood and two-tone the car black and silver. If you leave the car silver I would definatly do the headlights pockets black, would add to teh look.

Keep the silver man. I've always been a huge fan of the car, especially the silver. You don't see too many silver thirdgens, especially cars as sick as yours. Black on the other hand...

Paint and throw that SS hood on, give me the cowl and enjoy one badass Camaro.

Black is a great color but not for a camaro IMO. The camaro just looks meaner with a solid color and all the black accents..........ie, grille, headlights buckets, and when you paint it black you loose these great features and the whole front just blends in looseing that whole aggressive look. Black would look killer but I think the silver is just perfect with those wheels and if you added a black stripe.

Me personally:
1) Keep it silver and add the SS hood with black headlight buckets
2) Paint the SS scoop Black
3) Add the black wheels with a polished lip

Either way though those rims are hot

thanks for the replys guys. I already have the black wheels on the car. I sold the chrome SS wheels rwdtech. You must have an old pic of the car. I also sold the cowl hood and the SS hood is sitting in the shed waiting to go on. As it stands now, I will paint the hood silver, paint the buckets black and then see what the car looks like. I also have to tint the windows which is coming soon. Im gonna mess with a black single strip on the hood and see if I like it. If not then I can take it off. If I paint the stripe on and dont like it, I will be stuck with it.

I also love two tone thirdgens; black and another color only. Especially because I have never seen one done like this (besides p-chop)... Black on the hood, top of the car, and decklid. With the black headlight pockets, black grill, tinted windows and black wheels with a polished lip that is perfect IMO.

I also love hockey stripes but have only seen one thirdgen with them...

But for your car I love the black stripe on the hood idea...should look killer.

I was thinking the oppisite.
Black on the low end silver up top. That way the polished rims act as an accent.
