reverse mounted hoods.

i was wondering if any one has this, the hood pops forward like a vette, where would the hood latch go? i want to improve my intake system by making a wider pipe going over the radiator so with no hood latch i could do it, plus it would look FARKEN awesome!!!

You mean like a clamshell hood? Or a normal hood?

Do a search - there was a thread a couple of months ago with a bunch of ideas and possible parts combos that could work.

in my opinion, a lift off hood would be better.

atleast then you can lean over teh front of the motor.

More functional, but then not as trick. And how often can you lift off your hood by yourself at the gas station to check your oil, check funky noises or whatever? I think it'd be kinda cool. Easier to do on a 'maro than a bird though...

I have thought about that myself, but have only seen one 3rd gen with a reverse hood. It was in a magazine that I have at home. It looks sweet !
