22s would look awful on our cars. 18s can be pulled over very well, one perfect example is Mr. Irocs car. There is a purple iroc ouit there with 20" chrome irocs and imo it looks horrible. You would need a 20 series tire with sidewalls 2" high to remain the same size if you put 22s on a thirdgen.

i thought stock overall diameter for 245/50/16 equipped cars was about 21.6". that would make for a tiny sidewall with 20s and a negative one with 22s - that is all theoretical of course. doesnt matter 20, 22, they are all ghey on thirdgens

245-50-16 gives you a 25.65" diameter. I made this program a few years ago, http://www.3gc.net/download/ .

look at me, I could afford these rims because I stole them/robbed a bank/sell crack, if I'm gonna go this tacky on my car I might as well throw a turbo IROC hood on and an adjustable aluminum wing, bling bling. don't forget the chrome fender flares yo!

Gotta agree with the wagon wheel comment.

Big hoops on anything makes the car/truck/SUV look like an old covered wagon.

Well guys I hate to tell you that some people like a wheel the fills up the fender wells. I think 22's on our cars would be too much. I think that 20's look good though, thats why I have them on my car. A lot of it has to with the style of the rim also. The thing is someone on here or a group of people on here are always going to dislike something about every car posted on here. It is ok to say you don't particularly care for something and leave it at that. There is no need to keep on picking at it though. I personally think that stock third gens look boring. Yes there are some that look clean, but they don't stand out, they look just like every other one that rolled of the assembly line in front of them. However others love the way they look and would not change a thing. Face it people have different opinions, live with it.

*gasp*

Someone with a different opinion. Thats not allowed around here. Didnt you know that ZonFire? When it comes to appearance, you arent allowed to change anything unless it either came from a 4th gen, or is a cowl hood. Then it looks totally badass

way too big...

honestly the cowls are great looking hoods on camaros...why do u think so many people have them cause they look GOOD...i know its all opinion but i mean when someone puts some goofy looking 20's or 22's on a car to be different...sure thats great but you dont do something to be different you do it because you like the way they look...

I cant really see any wheels bigger then 18s that ill ever like

You give people way to much credit. The reason most people have cowls is because everyone says they should get them and they wanna be like everyone else. They wanna come on here, show pics of their car, and hear how sweet it is looks now that they have the cowl. Its just like being in highschool again...wanna be part of the crowd. heaven forbid someone do something different, just to be different and not be part of the masses. Besides, we all know kidrtch has very unique taste as far as his car goes, so I say go for it man. I certainky won't lose any sleep over what you do to your car

Very true...that vert looks great with the big wheel, makes me wish I would have kept my 91RS vert-dammit!!! Really I think it's the way you have these cars lowered with the big rims thats key to makin'em look good...But 22's seem like overkill to me..

22's would make the car sit way too high and you cannot lower the car because the wheels would be too tall. Good luck turning them too.

What good is a 215/30/22 anyways?

What's the point of these huge rims? Wow, you look really trendy now! Why don't you have MTV pimp your ride? It will come out looking just as dumb.

You know something is wrong when it's easier to have a conversation in English with someone from somewhere like Germany or Sweden than it is to have a conversation with a rich kid that watches MTV all day.

Why buy a luxury car? I can understand for older people but teenagers and younger people? Personally, if i ever get in a car and the seat starts massaging my ***, someone's gonna die. Plain and simple.

your car is ugly. if i was the owner i would sell tickets to see the show of blowing it up while rolling it off a huge cliff. that's how ugly your car is. damn its ugly and tastless. people have different tastes hitler, get over it.

i think jealously has played a roll in yalls guys opinion. hell if people want to put 20 tv's in their car i say awesome. thats money being spent in the automobile aftermarket, and IMO, money well spent.

how many people do you know that can spend 50k on a car? and if you do know any, do they get a 50k car? or a 10k car and throw a lot of unessesry stuff on it? I live in mass, there arent really any rich musicians or athelets around. The cars that I see with huge rims and all that other BS arent paid for with hard earned money. Do you know any successful people with real jobs that have over 4 TVs in their car? Rich/successful people have something that other people with over 50k in their cars lack, and thats taste and class.

You got a nice lil PM from me d00d . It's called making a point, but I guess you have to have an IQ greater then 50 to get that.

You failed to make a point junior. Ask if anyone cares. The Hitler reference is pretty cheesy. If you do have a point in the future, perhaps you would better serve yourself to not envelop it in a crude attempt at a lame blanket statement.

What don't you get about the point? People have different tastes. Nobody is better then somebody else because they like 22" rims instead of 17" rims. It's really such a simple concept.

Of course since you are disagreeing with me I take it you don't agree. Well I already knew that from you post above. You know, the good taste one. It's just an opinion. Thinking you are better because your opinion is different is pretty crude. Obviously I don't like 20" rims on my car or I would have spent the money on that instead of what I have spent my money on. With that said if people want to paint their car pink and purple and put 22" rims on it with 56 TVs inside, more power to them.

ya u have a point that people have diff tastes. And no I don't think my opinion is better, I guess I'm just pissed at the guys around here that get 20s and rub it in everyones face, and also at every other rap song today has a referance to big rims or a PS2 in da back. It's just the attitude that I don't like.
