this is why youre a troll and no one likes you. Hey guess what i dont care that you got a job and that youre not poor. Youre an idiot when you post on this specific board it should either be, how do i do something, or look at the cool thing i just did/found, although there obviously are some exceptions. You are a TROLL go away

Congratulations Shane.

Now take this advice:

Do NOT post about things non-thirdgen.
Do NOT post anything about your private life.
Do NOT give people ammo to fire at you (literally and figuratively speaking).
Do NOT post wish-lists or "which wheels" posts unless you have the cash in hand to pay for at least part of it (this does not mean a job).

If you're looking for some support/friendship - this board is not the place. I suggest attending some local car or thirdgen gatherings in your area. Check the regional forums for that.

You post ALOT on either things that frustrate people (off-topic or "incomplete" installs). My suggestion is to tone down the posting unless A) you have done some HUGE accomplishment or B) you have something constructive to say in just 1 reply per post.

Follow this advice and you will find that you:
A) spend much less time in front of the computer
B) spend more time with family, friends, and under the hood
C) receive warmer welcomes from people across the internet
D) receive less obnoxious comments about your mods

I'm not trying to be insulting, lecturing, or anything else. Everybody deserves some peace and appreciation and not many know how to get it. Just take it easy and let these threads die.

I'd add in a lot more money to your list for little things that will come up. Shipping, etc. etc.

yea, ummm your list is missing some cash, gotta figure in shipping.....and if your car's paint is original, the new hood and spoiler will probably only match the rest of the car's color at certain angles (being its aged).....when its all said and done you're looking at 6000 bucks of work....and thats IF you do the work yourself.....what about money for other ****....if something goes bad on the car? (these things nickel and dime...they're old) good luck though, just try not to aim so high until you start having the money....

you know, i've always respected you more than most people on this board. You give POLITE critisism, your not rude and you make sure of that.

Since i got a job i wont be having all this free time to post *****, so you'll be saeeing alot less of me from now on by default.

I'll take your advice.

And those prices dont include shipping simply becuase shipping aint much fro most of them, maybe at the most $50 or $75. So what, compared to the price of everything else that aint much.

Um.... The paint is completely not original, most epople knwo that the color of my car is not a chevy color, so it cant be stock. I got it put on in like october last year so it hasn't faded one bit.

He's just a kid guys, with big dreams.
Go easy on him, as we've all been there.

Just a few more bits of advice though:

1. Focus more on your vocabulary and spelling as it will help further your quest for intelligent and polite responses here and in life in general.

2. Plans for your ride are good, but keep them reasonable and within reach. I can guarantee you will not purchase all those things on your list and that your mind will constantly change. Pick a few things and work towards those.

3. Like the guys said, maintanence is inevitable and you need to factor that in as well because you'll probably spend a lot to repair things as time goes on before you will ever purchase a "Corvette Lt1".

Good luck and welcome to the working world.

Dude....I hope you realise that MOST of that stuff wont happen (atleast not anytime soon.) things usually dont happen the way you want, even when those things are reasonable. Many of yuor things are not reasonable. Im assuming your job is only for the summer and it doesnt pay all that much. what about gas, maintenance, insurance, going out etc etc. and shipping costs may only be "$50-75", but that adds up and $50-75 is still alot of money.
Its good you have ambition to spend your money on stuff like this rather than booze and/or drugs like all my friends do, but lower your expectations so you dont get disappointed

Dude you need to have your mom spend $150 a year on self help books instead of car mags if you need to come to a message board to try to get some appreciation in life.

And do yourself a favor - don't spend every dime you make on your car. It's not worth it in the long run.

alright man i've always respected you as well. Teh job is indefiantely, not just summer, i get paid 5.65 now but as soon as i work there for 30 days i becomea cash register and i make $6.75. I dont care it aint much money but money is money. My goals, once set, are always accomplished. I was raised to never let bad situaltions let you down keep going. Once i set a goal for myself it has to be accomplished. Dont underestimate me, please. The engine things i personally doubt will ever ahppen, but the other mods will defiantely. I really want my car to just look awesome and then eventually perform awesoem too.

Congratulations Shane.

I admit, when I see a new topic from you, I'm like, what's he done now? But it's cool because you're always creative, enthusiastic and entertaining. The others think so too, or they wouldn't view and respond so much. They were you a "few" years ago, lol. I guess they've just forgotten.

Make lots of money and keep having fun!

Congrats on the job! It is great that you want to spend the money on something you care about, rather than wasting your life away in the narcotic and alcoholic life.

It can happen, i dont make much, and I lifted my jeep, put some rims and tires on it, tinted the windows, and put a new cd player in it.

Yes Yes I know its a sin to mod anything but the 3rd gen lol, but i love the jeep.

good luck wiht your mods

oh yeah why not put some goodies in the 305 tpi? For 1200 you can have a great running tpi.

yeah the lt1 idea has been hitting me hard. For less money i can upgrade to a 350 tpi and run more power and torque. The onyl reason i wanted it was becuase of better fuel economy.

I love chrysler. Next to chevy chrysler is the best man, heres my theory

you have to admit it, pontiac has always had better looks interior and exterior.People like the camaro cause its lighter.

The firebird has better interior by far, seats are more comfortable and everything.

The exterior is by far superior, pop up headlihgts, fictional, good looking, spoilers.

yea wheres pontiac???????? and where in the hell did that statement come from?????????

but good luck with your project since you have a job now. im almost 19 and have had 2 thirdgens already. my advise just like most of the guys out there is to make goals you can achieve as not to be dissappointed and PLAN FOR REPAIRS.................. A LOT OF THEM!!!!!!! these cars love being fixed. and have some fun with your money too. dont blow it all on your car. i have probably spent more on my z than most people on this board but have still managed to gave a nice girlfriend and social life. if you truly love these cars just as i do then plan on keeping it for life just like me. that will give you plenty of time to do exactly what you want to it later on when your kids are playing in the yard next to the garage. you seem really young, just by the way you talk and thats not bad at all, you have a head start of 90% us so keep up the good work!!!!!!!!

o yea.......to each his own but sit down and think before you try another mod to be sure you like and maybe save yourself some scrunity!!!!!!!!!! BTW i really do think your car looks very sharp overall

my two cents

ok I only have about two things to add to this. first of all my favorite saying "dreaming is free" so he has a long list of mods he wants to do, don't we all? and as far a pontiac, its GM just like chevy and buick and all that other stuff, although personally I do prefer pontiac. anyway thats just my opinon.
