Check out the new hood. My wife ordered it for me while I was on a detachment (yes military). She looked through my car files and found my wishlist, I think she chose the perfect present! Woohoo!

Nice hood man. Wish I had one. I have a friend who is in the Marines. He is bringing his 2002 Lightning home with him on Memorial Day. He has to go back over there...again. I for one appreciate you guys over there. It really hits when you know someone there. I should be one of them...

Yeah, she's cool, turns wrenches with me every now and then and even likes Metallica! I pick the hood up this Saturday, can't wait. I think for christmas I'll leave her a hint for some 17" Rims!

any close up pics? what do you think about the fit and finish. i've done a few kits for imports and been thrilled with their work when compared to what i've worked with from other companies abound...

The hood was a perfect fit, only adjustment was to raise the latching mechanism. It also sits to the right slightly (1/8"), I have to push down on the side of the hood and it pops in against the rubber guides. I think it will settle into perfect position with time. If not, I'll try to ease it over by pushing on the hinges slightly. The finish is awesome, the only defect was a couple of pinholes on the edges of the hood. It was practically ready for paint when I received it.

2" or 3"?

Looking to get a 3" for more room underneath, and if it comes white already, then great! (white car. )

Where did she buy it?

Nice. I measured 4" to see where it was and it's almost too big. 3" sounds perfect.

IROC Magman....where did she get it?

3'' is real good. I think 4'' would be alittle to much. I'm like 5' 10'' tall and sometimes the 3'' hinders my view quiet a bit. I'm used to it now though.

Great...the white color, is it just a basecoat that gets sanded and painted, or it is clearcoated paint? (My car is white )

3" looks perfect...enough so to allow me to use a normal aircleaner.

by the way...it's www.cervinis.com

ES87iroc - What color code is that blue? Looks sharp!

Dewey 316 - I'll look you guys up when I get back from my trip to Iraq, sometime in December I hope!

kd5boc - The instructions said to sand the "gelcoat" I believe the fiberglass itself is white with a clear coat or gelcoat sprayed on. Body work is not my gig, sorry I couldnt provide more info. If your car is white it should look fine.
