wet sand it baby smooth and then buff it out.
Long as you have a good coat of paint or clear so not to sand through. Id say for a good final finish you will sand off a good 1/3 of the final coat. So it better be 4-5 layers min.

Start with 1200 wet, then work your way up to 1500 wet. Afterwards use a good rubbing compound from Meguires or 3M. MOve up to a glaze/swirl remover then a good wax. It should look like a mirror if you do everything right.
