any firebirds have this?

been looking for a good spoiler (if u remember my post for the f-40 wing ) and my brother showed me the 5 inch fin on Hawks. hes goin to get it for his maro and said it would look good with the 3 inch cowl im getting. but the only problem is the small parts that are on the quarter panel that follow the maros tail lights. just thinking that that would clash with the bird. if anyone has done this could u post a pic or maybe photoshop a pic that would be great. thanx in advance

i dont believe very many people have gotten that spoiler to begin with, but chances are it wouldnt go very well with a bird rear end, since they are so much more curvy than a maro...

Also a birds *** is quite a bit wider that a maro's so you'd have to get it custom widened.

Third Gen --> "F-Bodies" <--
granted there are differences for the tail lights, but would i be crazy to say otherwise they were identical... isnt that the idea behind sharing a body style

Not even close. The rear of the firebird is about 2" wider overall at the tail lamp area. Also, the camaro lights wrap around the sides whereas the firebird lamp assemblies are flat.

I don't think maros and birds share any sheetmetal, do they? It's like the same chassis though, isn't it?

same drivetrain and suspension, interiors and exteriors are generally different with maybe a few parts being the same.

Just the doors, hatch glass and decklid, and the roof panel.

I have contemplated the idea ever since the 5" was available. I was thinking of making it all one peice and cutting the side parts off and tapering and molding end pieces to the center. I did some photoshops of it, doesn't quite look right to me.

drivertain, suspeision, doors? ok, ill say again, F-Body maybe your right about it actually being wider, sounds silly to me but i have no idea
the 'body' of the car, is what every other peice is attached to (doors, decklid, fenders, etc), aside from the taillight area as far as i know you could build a camaro out of a firebird and vica versa
never thought it was any more narrow in the back because of it though *shrug*

The body from the back of the doors to the rear of the car is very different. There are very easy to identify body lines between the camaro and firebird. Look at the B-pillars for example, then come back and tell me you could build one with the other and no one would know.

The a pillar are tha exact same as are the b pillars the only real difference besides the frontend is the fact the camaro tail ight wrap around. Oh ant the birds have marker light in the quarters.

No. There is a reason the birds have j.lo asses. The b-billars are also different. They have pronounced "shoulders." If you look at pictures of camaro and firebird rear quarters (i think it's the birds) have a more defined body line stemming from the doors. True story.

Whoops, it was getting late when I wrote that, I meant B-pillars. Take a look at the two, it's pretty obvious.

Nope they are not teh same in the rear. When i put the 3 piece on my old bird i could only use the center section becasue the sides did not work. Now if you could work out a deal with hawks to get a 5" for birds go for it becasue i am super happy with the 5" i put on the rs.
