Yea im just like the next guy for wantin it cheap!! the reason why I didnt go with HOK paint is because I already bought the Du Pont paints! And the Base will be Du Pont chromalution black, should be interesting to see when its done...

BTW- Im no professional an nor claim to be one, with that being said this paint job will not be 100% perfect, more along the lines of 65%. But it should look flawles from 10ft away

As long as DuPont sponsors Jeff Gordon, I will never buy any of their products!

Speaking of paint...... I wonder if you can buy that special paint that they use on the Stealth fighter and bomber...... you know, that stuff that's supposed to absorb radar? That could be quite useful, Lol!

I meant conscious decisions, Lol!

I've seen that car. At the time it had a TPI 383 with twin superchargers. The license plate said BLOWN X2. Saw it at the Super Chevy Show in Topeka in '01.

Thanks everyone for the compliments!! it took me 3 hours on the drivers side "IROC-Z" and 1 1/2 hours on the passenger side...I absoultly love the IROC-Z...Really glad I painted em instead of throwing flame red decals on lol!

Kandied---how is the gold possible? it does take a red color how does that work? Mix of purple and gold make the red?

Here's a question ive been wondering. Can you do Kameleon Kandied paint? As in using Kameleon for the base coat and then putting Kandied on top... or would that just look completely retarded?

nope because your in essence defeating the candy look.....candy is a look of the paint, not a color. imagine the most wet looking paint and how deep it can get and magnify it greatly which is the effect candy has which can't be duplicated with prismatic paints.

I see what your saying, I was thinking that it would appear like a normally painted car and then have the Kameleon undertone when you really start to look at it. Thus not really even attempting to take advantage of the Kandie. I guess I was wondering if you could in fact make a "sleeper" paint job lol

"sleeper"

i have additives in my own that under different light the red completely disappears and the car turns gold but to have a flip/flop effect and keep it candy would be very hard to do as you need depth for candy and flip/flop doesn't have depth at all.

To be honest imo, a whoel car in the kameleon is just way too much. Almost a "gawdy" way of getting people to look.

I think the DETAILS are what makes a car stand out (hence the black car with the kameleon flames/irocz) is so damn sweet, the whole paint job is nice, but you pay attention to the detials that way, not some giant purple/green/blue mess.

But thats just my .02

c-u-later that's nice looking, do you get contigency for those stickers though........the subtle flames are a nice touch but your rear window ruins that car to me.
