Are you planing on painting the whole car in Kameleon or just doing flames, stripes, ect?? A whole car painted that color is just to much imo.

Hey Kandied,
Do you have any photos of a 3rd gen in the blue/red variation of the paint?

I once saw a white c4 vette with a kameleon stripe down the middle and it looked pretty freagin cool. I think an arctic white 90-92z28 with kameleon heritage stripes would be just as sweet.

trans87 they don't make a blue/red version.....they make gold/red versions though. you either get dark colors like blue/purple or light colors like gold/red/orange.

there is the multi level like purpleene that has purple/blue/green that uses gold which causes pink and a few others.

The pic of the '69 makes me agree with the person that said a whole car in kameleon is too much. That car would be so freagin awesome in a solid color. By the way, what kind of induction is that on that big block?

i had once seen a corvette stingray in kameleon. It looked sweet but Im one more for traditional colors. Nothing look better on older cars then hugger orange or black.

I wouldnt mind black changing to a really dark purple. But i dunno if its possible.

not to mention the paint job can cost like 8000ish. Thats just what a local show goer with a Linclon Mach8 said it cost. Not to mention his 4 10s in his rear deck. LOL

Previous owner of my 82 repainted it black with dual chameleon racing stripes, plus stirpes down each side. Wife spotted it, and talked me into buying it. Check my site for more pics.

that's way to expensive for that type of paint. it's expensive by the product that's for sure but its one of the easiest if not the easiest color to paint a car. not to mentio a complete car is very easy to touch up.

Any reason your headrests say PONTIAC on them?

As far as the speakers goes, they're 5" speakers...and before anyone asks, NO I didn't do that to my dash. As I mentioned I bought this car last June in it's present condition, and the previous owner I guess felt like carving up the dash. The drivers side was missing in the photo because I had taken it out to check whether or not it was blown.

About the headrest, the previous owner wanted an all black cloth interior, and Chevrolet only make the charcoal cloth seats, so he replaced all the seats with that from a Firebird. On my list of things to do to the car, once the money starts coming back in (being unemployed for 5 months really hurt).

I had this feeling when I posted the pics I was going to get called on the dash & seats...mainly becuase that's one of the first things people give me grief about.

The 69 looks kinda funny almost like missmatched body panel colors with the door being open and catching different light angles.

That is one sick Viper conversion though I love it.

Kameleon paint for an entire car I do not like them, haven't seen one to date that a would want. Now using it in small doses on the stripes and such or in flames would look really cool and unique without being overly gaudy.

post it up.................it's not physically possible with the scheme of colors your car would turn black and ugly purple much like a red/white/blue popsicle does when it melts in a cup in the summer.

however, if you say you have it by all means prove me wrong....

show me on the car.....

there are little tabs with blue/green and a few other that use gold which give the illusion of red at certain angles but you have to think about it for a minute and put two and two together.....what do you get when you mix red and blue?? it isn't a pretty color which is why they break down the chromillusions and why red is paired with gold and the blue/greens are together...

but, anythings possible so if you have it then wait til it's done and show it

this is the blend you would see at different angles if in fact what your saying was true. i believe you may have it as i can see there are paints similar.......why you would want that though i'm not sure. but to each their own!!

more often then not this color which looks red is actually copper or based off of gold which is one of the primary colors in the above as well.

here is a closer idea yet to what your talking about...again it's only on slight angles that it is actually red where as the majority is pink/purple...still a little cleaner then the above using bronzers.

looks to be more like the very last pic i posted which isn't bad...definately more purple and pink it it though which would give it a red look at angles. much nicer then the hair dryer so it should look nice.

I dont know if its my monitor but to me it looks like the paint in the torso pic is from bottom to top, a dark blue/dark purple/dark red shift. I like it.

rather expensive? I think its cheap for kameleon on that site...225 for a pint of HOK kameleon and the 205 I paid for 8oz(1/2 pint) for Du Pont Kameleon!

Yea I used all Du Pont paint and paint supplies! from the primer to the clear coat is all Du Pont!

One thing I noticed is that my primer came oput more green then gray...I dont know if I mixed it right it said 1 to 1 ratio and thats exatly what I did so hopefully its cool!

I hate rain
