i have a quick question will a 3rd gen camaro hood fit a 3rd gen firebird formula 350? just wondered. when i look up hoods for third gens i see a lot of camaro hoods but hardly any hoods for a firebird. also would a rs wing fit a formula i hate my wing on my car and would like something different any ideas?

A Camaro hood will not fit your car. The Firebirds have flip up lights and that makes the hoods different.
I do not believe an RS spoiler would fit on your car. I think the contour around the taillights are different between the two cars.

hookin, if you are talking about the 3 piece spoiler found on most every camaro, it will fit, but you have to keep in mind the the wing is made to follow the triangular cutout of the back quarter where the taillight is on a camaro

It WILL NOT fit. The diferent slope of the Firebird's fenders will stop you even if you cut out the spaces for the flip up headlights. Won't work.

I think you are talking about the three pedestal spoiler used on the 91/92 Z28. It will work on the Firebirds, I have seen it done.

Ah, I know of which spoiler you are talking about. My car originally came with it (in 89 the RPO was D81). It is the Aerowing spoiler. It is a little version of the big Z-28 wing, but it is all on the rear hatch. It doesn't overhang on the sides at all. As far as if it would fit, I have no idea. If a Camaro rear hatch would fit on a Bird, then the spoiler would work. Hope this helps (the spoilers were on 87-89's I think).

I would Like to resurrect this thread if i may...I too would like to know if a camaro hood will fit a firebird. there are too many mixed feelings above PLUS alot may have been accomplished in the almost 11yrs since the last post LMAO but im sure there will be headlight cutouts and thats fine. i agree with the above statement, THERES LIKE 108,446 DIFFERENT CAMARO HOODS AND LIKE 3 FIREBIRD HOODS!!!!!! and i like camaro hoods. there stock hoods are more decorative. but if someone will, chime in your wisedom..
what mixed feelings are there? everybody except a couple idiots say no.
the camaro hood will bolt to the hinges, but will never, ever, not in a million years fit the firebird. The blatantly obvious difference is the cutouts for the firebird headlights, that are lacking on the camaro hood. Then the front of the firebird slopes down a lot faster than a camaro, so again, no dice.
The only way to do this would be to swap the fenders, bumpers, supports and everything from a camaro (the entire front end) to the firebird and make a "firemaro" "cambird" "worthlessPOS" "abortion" ect.
there are a bunch of options for birds, almost as many as for camaros, you just have to look.
teh factory bird hoods look good, the vented TA hoods, the powerbulge also looks great on these cars.
you can get fiberglass stock smooth hoods, glass puwerbulge hoods, glass IMSA double powerbulge hoods, several different cowl induction hoods, the RAI 4th gen style hood, the god awful looking RAII 4th gen style hood, 4th gen style camaro scoop hoods, the daytona hood, twin turbo style hood. Thats about 10 off the top of my head. how many more different styles can you get for the camaro???
There are even aluminum powerbulge hoods, good luck ever finding one, or even seeing one.

LMAOOOO thank you for your chime. what you said make lots of sense and God no, those crossbreeds dont even sound good lol worthlessPOS would be the perfect name. What about cutting the firebird hood to insert the louvers or designs off the maro? as in cut&&paste..

Some bending cutting and some fabrication you could probably get it to fit not sure though and would be cool to see if anybody does try it i think it be be pretty cool IMO but to each there own
