And the point of this is?

I hate to break it to you, but Nasty -does- know his stuff.

Anyone with half of a functional brain can figure out that decreasing the overall sidewall of a tire will have an adverse effect on ride quaility. It is simply a matter of proven fact. Less cushion = harder ride. Nothing complex about it. Wasting your time quoting wheel sizes for cars no one cares about is pointless. The suspension on those cars compensates for the over-sized wheel.

NOTE: The question was how would it affect a thirdgen car.

Correct........It's a well known fact that increasing sidewall makes for a better ride. I fail to see where i contest that point...

BUT to say that luxury cars come with only 15" wheels and optioned to 16" wheels is a comment founded on stupidity....

Good for him, I'm sure he does fine at what he does at the speed shop

When the car was built, supertraps were all the rage. truth is the pictures don't do his car justice. the exaust always looks strange in the pictures. It looks and fits the car much better in person.

Oh no, not the old silly "I wanted to be different" arguement.

I would hope he went with those tips because he liked them, and not because he wanted to be "different".

(NOTE: It's not the fact that they are supertrapps that make them look funny, it's that they are hanging low in the center that make it look funny, IMHO.)

BTW, the rest of the car looks sharp, except for the wheels. IROC's don't seem to carry to well in bigger sizes, it's probably just the design of it. That and it being all chrome probably does not help, it might look better with painted recessions. $.02

Settle down man...it was a joke. If you have not noticed, there is somewhat of a "if you car doesn't look like what I picture the perfect thirdgen to look like, it sucks", mentality with some on this board. Sorry if I offended you.

Not at all. I was just poking fun as the whole "different" thing is tossed around alot.

Just seems that as soon as someone puts something wierd on their car the "I want to be different!" thing always comes up, for better or worse. I hear your point though. Everyone likes different things, which is great, but sometimes someone comes up with something really, um, odd, and some folks don't understand the use of tact.

[On another note, I personally went with a 4th gen borla, not to be different, but becuase I really liked the dual/dual square tips. ]
