what about 18's . I got 18x8 and 18x9.5 boyd coddington smooties for 1680 shipped to my door. less tires.

heres a side view. I don't know the offset though. The guy told me that these are 4th gen rims with a thirdgen offset

that has 17x9.5 all the way around w/275/40s....it would fit your 82, depending on what wheels you get.. i have the 4th gen wheels and also a 4th gen rear, therefore i needed no adapter in the back

luvmy92, where did you get those rims? thats a very good price for those wheels and i'd be interested in buying some...my car is in dire need of wheels.

 

I have a friend that runs a wheel shop, I have not seen these wheels for sale anymore so good luck if you can find them. I paid almost twice on rubber compared to the wheels!

 

I got mine from Summit. I searched all over the net to find the lowest price and then called them. They beat the price by $1.00 and were much cheaper shipping wise. I can't remember the price exactly now though. This is an old pic, maybe I'll get more recent ones this weekend.

THAT IS AWESOME DUDE I am loving the 17x11 rims with 315's I am thinking of something like that for my car as well. What all is involved in sticking that wide of a tire in the rear of the car?

 

I am running 255/40-17 on the front and 275/40-17 on the rear for now. i will be moving the 275s to the front and putting 285/40-17s on the rear..... Until I get my new wheels

Is safe to run a 285 sized tire on a 9" rim?

 

My Wheels and tires before the 17x11's where:
17x9.5's and 285x40x17 on all corners, just a little rub in the front
at the lock.

 

Yeah I knew they could be run on 9.5" rims but I was wondering if it was safe to run them on a 9" rim?
