Shvaed door handles

Has anybody here done this/had it done?

Pictures?

Price?

I have a buddy down the street that does fabrication/body-drops on trucks. He may be able to have his body man do a shave on the Camaro. Cheap

What do you think? Go for it?

Do you have to be NHRA legal just to do a few runs at the track or just in comp.

Play it cool at tech inspection and clever positioning of your body and you might get them not to notice it.......

That was $765 for a Viper Alarm, kit, body work........I had the whole car painted at once...

I did it and don't regret it one bit.....

$765 seems like a lot, but it'd probably be worth it

Shaved door handles are illegal, if the track sees them they won't let you run. Its a safety issue because if you wreck they can't get in the car to pull you out.

Shaved Door Handles are a slim jim's worst enemy.......

However if you have a habit of locking keys in the car, you may want to develop a plan to keep a spare handy for the ever so fun hatch adventure.....

I wonder just how often a wrecked car's doors actually worked at speedways without them not being jammed from the impact. If the NHRA's worried about not being able to get into a car with no handles, I don't see why they just couldn't open the door from the inside if it's not jammed. Break the window if you have to, I'm sure the driver won't mind if he's about to be charred.
