Ok I want to put fog lights on my 92 RS REALLY BAD! But I cant find anywhere that has new factory ones for my car. The only place I found was Next Gen, and the grille is $64.95 and the left fog light is $109.00 and the other light is $109.00 also! How can a setup for fog lights cost over $250!?!?!
I mean thats just crazy! So...What I thought was that I could get just the grille and get my own fog lights. Have you guys got any good sites for me??

Check eBay. Also there are some ThirdGen used parts dealers that I have used for other parts I copuldn't fing at a salvage yard. Trust me, you won't find these at a pick-a-part yourself.
Try these links as well. Good luck, Lon.

The grill is like 42 bucks from classic industries. For fog lights I picked a little bit cooler aftermarket version cause I didn't like those boxy oems.

Yeah, aftermarket 1s r better. I have a set of PIAAs on my IROC. They r expensive but great quality, they shine brighter and better than my headlights.
Could I get the Z28 grille and put in 2 fog lights where there supose to go but just have them be aftermarket ones? If so Could I get the stock foglight switch that went under the light turn on/off stick? Would that work? And how hard would it be? Thanks alot!
Dunno if this helps, but amazingly enough,
Pep Boys sells a set of foglights, that are
the _EXACT_ size and dimentions of the
T/A fog lights for like 29.99..
I dunno what the Camaro fogs are like,
can't remember if they were the same.

The firebird fog lights are slightly different, the trim only goes on the side of the light and the camaro ones have full trim around the entire light, but they may work. I had the same prob with mine (the old ones had cracked lenses and the frames were rusted) and i looked everywhere for 3 years for used ones till i finally bit the bullet and went to GM. Try going to a GM dealership, i got mine for $80 each and i also got a 92 grille with the chevy bowtie for $32.50.

There are a bunch of aftermarket fog lights that are the same dimensions as the stock camaro fogs. They are not the same, but from a distance they look pretty similar. I opted to restore my factory fog lights instead of go to aftermarket, just because I'm **** about stuff like that.

You can get a good deal from Classic Industries on the grille. And I've seen alot of camaro's with aftermarket fog lamps which I thought looked way better than stock.
I'd avoid Nextgen unless you absolutely have no other choice...they are very pricey

I had the same problem you had. You can get the grille for about 40 bucks from www.tacreationsusa.com and then I bought the foglights from Pep Boys. They were 29.99, but aren't the exact dimensions of the actual z lights, but they are so close, no one can tell. I saw them on my friend's z after he got new ones and I thought they were real, even when I knew the exact dimensions of the originals. The ones I have are made by RALLY, they come with these dumb flip down covers, but they come off no problem (just pop off). They are very bright and come with a switch, but I went ahead and got the original switch from chevy because it looks better than a tacky red switch. I don't have a pic of the lights, but if i did, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference from originals.

Oh yeah, the switch was like 15 bucks or so and it was simple to wire. One for power in when your running lights are on (just tap into a dash light like your ac light). One for power in for the actual lights. You can wire it so they go on with your running lights, or headlights, or just whenever (like I did). One for a ground. One for going to the fog lights. Simple. The original switch is so much better because it lights up at night like the rest of your interior and when it is on, a green light is on it. The switch looks great.

I can't remember for sure but i believe they are 55 watt lights. They are bright enough to drive around w/o the mail headlights on and they seem to be bright enough to **** people in the oncoming lane off. I simply took the grilles out and then trimmed the screw tabs off with a utility knife. The lights are bolted to the impact bar. I bought a relay and wired it to my parking light so they turn on/off when I turn on my parking lights.
Thanks for all the help guys! Im thinking about getting some fogs either next weekend or the next. Jim91rs you said that you got the original fog switch. Im taking it you mean the one that goes under the main light ****? And was it easy to wire it up?
AMEN to the $19.95 Wal-Mart specials.....! I've got a set of those BLAZER fog lights on one of my '88 GTAs and they work just fine.
They are 55-watt bulbs just like the OEM factory units. They used to also carry 110-watt bulbs, but I didn't see any the last time I had to buy a new bulb. I get flashed all the time over the 55-watt bulbs. The light housings are not metal like OEM ones, but you can always take the "guts" of the light out and install into the OEM housing if it's still good..... that's what I did and they work perfectly.
A great money-saving set......

yeah it is the one that goes under the headlight ****/switch. The foglight switch has the yellow picture of a light, just like the interior lights on the rest of the car. When I turn my running lights on (**** half-way out) , the fog light picture on the switch lights up so you can find the switch at night. When I turn the switch on, a green light lights up to show you they are on. It is very simple to wire, basically I just figured out what prong on the back of the switch controlled what by using an multi-meter. I could probably see if I wrote it down and tell you if you want. One was a ground, one was tapped into my AC light (so it would light up with my interior lights), one went to the fog lights, and one went to the fuse box (you could wire it to the fuse box for constant power when the car is on by wiring it to the fuse that the radio is on. Or you could tap into the running lights so they come on when the lights are on, or you could tap into one of the headlights so they are on when the headlights are on, and they go off when the brights come on, but with the fog lights, you really shouldn't need the brights.) hope this helps

Hey guys, I know this is really old and all, but can some one tell me how hard it would be to get these and wire them to turn on and off with the car? I have heard that people that drive with lights on are 33% less likely to get into an accident, and I have trouble remembering to turn off my headlights.
Would it be as simple as grounding and then sending the positive to the alternator?

They may be 33% less likely to get into an accident, but I am 50% more likely to want to head on collide with the car that has it's lights on during the day. I'm sure it wouldn't be hard. Just tap into a circuit for your relay that has power only when in the run position of the key, IE ignition, or something similar. But god that would be annoying, at least to me. I dunno if anyone else loathes DRL.
