Ground FX removal question.

Hi,
A friends doing a little body work on his 87 TA and has to get the ground fx off. Any tips on how to remove them, particularily the rocker panel (area under door between tires)? Thanks in advance for any help.

Martin

I just did this a few months ago. For the rockers, it's kinda hard to explain, but remove the screws in the door jamb, then look on the bottom under the car, there should be more screws, remove them. If you have emblems, you have to remove them because there are 2 screws under them. There are 3 bolts under the car, 2 in the back and I think one in the front, remove those. now the front should be movable, and the back is held on by this clip. If I remember correctly, you slide the piece towards the back of the car and then it's free. Just make sure you take out all the bolts and screws and go easy on it if you don't want to break it. The front piece is easy. there are a whole bunch of 10mm nuts that hold it on and you just have to take those off. A deep socket will help here. Using a wrench is a PITA, so make sure you have a socket.
Hope this helps!
