please dont take this as an insult or flame...but if you are going all out for the nice paint why would you settle for such a BORING rim choice?

i applaud you for not going with the ttIIs cuz everyone and their cousin have them..

is it a money concern cuz i understand that..

i just dont understand why you would go with blah rims and a nice paint job..

please once again dont take it as a flame or an insult..just wonderng

not to worry that is why i am asking for suggestion. i have the stock z28 rims that i thought of maybe polishing and painting the insides to match the car, but not my first pick. i may do if i have extra paint. I like the boyd's rims but nothing really jumps out at me for a choice. I would like to go diffrent but it is hard to tell if they will look good from web photos. and i do not want spacers that is why i was thinking the slp's even though they are very common.

in all honesty..go to your local tire shop that deals with rims/tires and that is reputable...

they usually have some rims on display that you can look at on the wall...

that way you can see in person which styles you like...and then when you get your car there..you can try on certain wheels/put them beside the car and better decide..

i looked at our local dealers but nothing real interesting, mostly the big makers like american and such. Price does matter if i could stay in the 1300-1500 range for tires and wheels that would be cool.

maybe i'll just post my painted car pic and see if someone can ps some choices for me.

anyone have these on there car? i would like to see a pic from behind to see the width.

Thanks

The only thing is that "boring" and "plain" set of rims would provide a much better overall appearance on his car than your set on a thirdgen could ever hope to attain, its never just the wheel or just the car, it requires making a match, that which quite a few around here cannot seem to accomplish.
