Car: 91 Z-28
Engine: 350 TPI
Transmission: 700R4, T-56 future
My 1991 RS that I got from my dad when I was 16 for $700 (he was feeling generous). It was a 305 TBI, 5 speed, flowmaster exhaust, 8 inch bass tube (perfect amount of base for Camaros), pretty much mint condition with 137,000 miles. Sold it because I thought I was a bit too obscessed and **** about it and got a Wrangler. Well as you can imagine I regretted it and now have an 87 Iroc/Z-28 that I am rebuilding as I get money and time, which is never, and drive the Jeep as my daily driver. When I grew up my dad had an 84, 86, 88, and 91 (the car I got) and when I got interested in cars I was in love with 3rd Gens.
i'm 17 and i've had two thirdgens. the first one i paid $800 for, it was an 87 Z28 TPI... needless to say a steal...
<img src="http://users.catt.com/~shadetreedesigns/justin/11.jpg">
sold it a few months later for $2500 after throwing a paintjob on it and tuning it up. i was going to get a little honda or something since i worked 20 miles away and needed something more gas efficient, but decided to get another camaro
so i bought an 89 RS, 305 with a manual tranny...
planned on fixing it up also and throwing a paintjob on it too...
<img src="http://users.catt.com/~shadetreedesigns/justin/MVC-014F.JPG">
had it for about seven months and i was on I-75 in downtown atlanta traffic... bit** driving a blazer in front of me locked it down and i drove up underneath her at 35mph... i had liability coverage so i got rid of her for a thousand bucks ;( she was better than the Z actually in terms of mechanical condition.. never died on me once... had 140K on her
<img src="http://users.catt.com/~shadetreedesigns/justin/wreck/left.jpg">
getting another one soon though. next time i'll stay the f outta atlanta...

Car: 1990 Trans Am GTA
Engine: 305 TPI
Transmission: 5-Speed
I'm not 16 ( just turned in Sept.) but i purchased my '90 GTA when I was 14 in May of 2002. Since then I've repainted it and added a Ram Air II hood.
got my 87 iroc 305 tpi 5 speed about 2 weeks after i got my license. paid for it all myself, i pay for insurance and gas too. im now 17, mods are in the sig, im hoping for a 350 engine swap this winter or next spring before i go away to college (senior this year)
and it has a new paint too, when i bought it it was yellow primer, then my brother sprayed it black, there were runs everywhere (you can see the in the pic if you look for em), so now its flat black with 2 white racing stripes, ill try to get some new pics up soon

edit: hmmm maybe i dont know how to post a pic

Car: 83 Camaro Z28, 91 Jeep Cherokee
Engine: 305 gm crate

I just turned 16 4 months ago. So far I've owned 3 camaro's
1) 84 Z 350 pretty messed up car, bought when I was 14 for $225
Motor was pretty healthy though
2) 88 Sport Coupe sh!ty 2.8 but car was beautiful, with really cherry(nice) interior, took money from when I sold the 84 and bought this for $800, Sold it to my dad's, took the money from that and bought a 91 Jeep Cherokee for $700 just for a car to get around town for when I could start driving. But 2 weeks later......
3) My dream car popped up....83 Camaro Z with a later model front end, T-TOPS was one of my major things, and 305 gm Crate(wish it was a 350 though) but the 305 honks pretty good. The car imo is beautiful, it's light silver metallic, the color explodes when the sun hits it. So now I am selling my jeep to pay my dad back because he loaned me the money for now because, it's not everyday you find a nice carb'd ttop for $1100!! So he couldn't resist and bought it so now I've spent a good $200 + in it in the past 2 weeks. But that is definatly a keeper so unless something catastrophic (sp) happens to the car it's not going anywhere.
Most kids in my shop(auto tech) think i am always bull crapin. Because they've never met a girl who has owned 3 camaro's at the tender age of 16, and i am glad i am not the only one, because my mom thinks i am crazy! hahaha but whatever. Thats really cool that our generation takes a liking to 3rd gens. IMO they are the best cars! I will be a Camaro girl for ever and ever and..............................................ever!lol
Good luck with all your guys projects!

Bought this 84 when I was 16 for 1400. Not bad for 1994. I didnt even know what all the gauges were for untill one day (after a lot of abuse) I noticed the temp gague was in the red, I thought "that must be bad" I decided to read a repair book and fix the blown intake manifold gasket myself after comparing the parts prices to the repair bill.
By the time I was 17 I had put in a rebuilt motor and preped it for a paint job. Since then I have had 6 more 3rd gens (most are on my website
)
Since the age of 20 I was familiar enough with these cars that I never had to go to a mechanic again, except for stuff I dont have equipment for like an alignment or getting new exhaust welded on.

Yah they dont make many girls like me! haha I have devoted the past like 12 years to cars/motorsports, basically anything with a motor attached to it. Sorry guys I don't have any pictures yet, i've been so dang busy, its not even funny! See I got this whole NASCAR thing going on... it's called Drive for Diversity, they were looking for female and minority drivers and pit crew members. Well I sent in my resume and some pics and they sent me a response so... I am going to Mooresville,NC Oct. 20-24(i am staying a couple of extra days). I will be getting evaluated by the teams and all. If they see potential... I will be moving down there for a 2 month pit crew training course at Jeff Hammond's 5off5on pit school. Then 12 teams will be evaluating me then if they like me I will be hired as a crew men(well woman).If I get real lucky hopefully I can get a job not only on race day but a position in the shop during the week. So it will be pretty interesting. But thats totally off the subject of Camaro's huh?? lol.
In my school alot of the guys like Camaro's and they seem to know about, but when I start talking about the generations, they look at me like I am crazy! So I dont even go into more camaro facts like RPO'S and all that, I figure just kind of a waste of breath. lol. The only problem with my car is the usual 700r pos! Thats the 2nd 700r that I have had personally that leaked, my 84 leaked real bad! but my new 83 leaks a little bit if you let it sit for a couple days. Soon as I get some more money together I will probably put a turbo 300. Well better get going!

I bought my car about a month after I turned 16 via loan from my parents. My crappy job pays the payment and insurance, but thats about it. After I paid the car off, I got some more money from them and did a few things. Now I need a new job so I can go faster

here is my camaro Z28 that i bought in may of 2004 for $400. i put a 350 in it because the 305 was bad, replaced all interior from carpet to headliner, and did all the body and paint work on it in about 2 months. And yes i did do all the work myself.

Car: 91 Pontiac Firebird
Engine: 305 soon 350
Transmission: T5
I am 18, Just turned it in September, I bought my 91 Firebird for 800 bucks. It burns oil on startup, valve stem seals, but other than that is a great runner. I have the 305 TBI, with a T5 to make the car some fun. I am currently looking into a 350 that can take the spot of this 305. I had a 90 Mazda MX-6 GT, which I loved to death but I gave that car to my girlfriend, but I still get to drive it when I want. I miss that car for the speed (turboed running 10 lbs of boost) but the handlying on the firebird would beat the poop outa the mazda, the firebird just lacks the speed part
.
Heres my little story.

I bought the 82 from my sister when I was 15. Now the car has 16x8 polished wheels, 245/50/16s, A complete Hooker exhaust system(besides cat) 1 5/8th inch primaries and 3 inches all the way back. An open element sits on top of the peanut cammed LG4, and I'm going to get an electric cutout soon enough.
The car is an MSE, so it came with bigger sway bars, poly bushings, lowered springs, shocks, an aero wing, and maybe more.

I'm 17 and I have a 88 GTA. I traded my 94 beretta Z26 for it. The car was my dad's but as I said in the last sentence he gave it to me for the beretta. It has a L98 with a 700r4 tranny. My dad and I have done almost a complete restoration. The body is about 92500 miles and the oldest restored part is the engine which is 2000-3000 miles old.

Well I'm 18 now, but I got my car last year about this time. Its an 87 Camaro Sport Coupe. Originally it had the 87 LG4 w/ a 700. It used to be the marroon color, but it had a lot of primer on it. Apartently the previous owner had given up on restoring her.
I had thrown on a flowmaster, Edelbrock open element, and some MSD ignition. It was a little quicker, lol.
I did an entire interior swap from doeskin to black by myself, took two days. The donor car was my dads old camaro that went to the junkyard a day after. The interior is perfect and now I'm collecting 4th gen seats, one at a time from the junkyard, lol.
Then I threw in a 350HO this summer and a shift kit in the 700. I also spent 4 days painting w/ my grandpa who used to paint cars back in the day.
So now it has new paint, a fresh vortec headed 350HO, a mint condition interior, and good tires...

Car: Trans Am
Engine: 305 to 350 to 383 to BOOM!!!
Transmission: 5-speed
Axle/Gears: 3.73 10-bolt
My first car was a buick. That was and still is my beater. I thought a Trans Am in 2003 and there was a rust spot in the fender so started some body work on the side of the house. Will to make a long story short, I had bricks on the garge and they fell on my car.
So I did not complete the car before I left for college. Now i'm sitting here at Bradley U, in peoria without a car.
