So, which one do you think looks best? I can't quite decide.
(thanks to 'spearson' for the photoshops, and '84CustomZ28' for the original pic of his badass car)

or

edit: anybody have a place to host these pics, so i can post the actual pics on here instead of links? when i try to add them to my cardomain site, it just shows a thumbnail and won't let me enlarge them to full size. they're enlarged on 'spearson's' cardomain page (where the pics in the links are form), but i don't know what his site address is

I like the black on top, orange on bottom one. But with the cowl painted black, not orange. Would make the whole car look better IMO.

I like the orange on top, with the cowl black. But, I think youd need to have the line come down to the middle of the front bumper cover. It looks odd where it is. Would look better under the headlights.

if anybody wants to photoshop a different idea that's somewhat along these lines, feel free. It'd be interesting to see what it looks like with the line lowered, and also with orange on the bottom, and black on the top including the cowl.
Hope 84CustomZ28 doesn't mind....original pic that the photoshops were made from:

Kinda like this. Sorry for the 2 min paint job. I dont have PS on this computer and I'm too lazy to do it right. This would be cool. You need more than a straight line on the side too.

i think a nice detail to the orange on the cowl would be to have it just cover the middle and not run on those thin little edges. just have those black and have it kind of circle the orange so a thin black border runs all the way around

black top orange bottom but fade the grey area...... have the orange over shadow the black and fade down to the brighter orange. on the cowl how about just the sides in orange? all off it orange looks to much for me. or better yet orange heritage stripes or some stripping. just gotta come up with and idea for the side, if not blended to fade, maybe follow the body line the top curve of the body and follow to under head lights, try that in ps.
Jeff
oh if your real good or have cash make it peal frim black to orange like the black paint is coming off the car to show the orange that would look hot on the sides. not sure if it is in your budget or skill level.

lol nope that's not in by budget or my skill level.
iroc2nv....for interior, i'm not quite sure yet. i was thinking ebony 4th gen seats that have orange inserts in the seat and backrest. maybe black floormats with some logo in orange. and carpet and interior panels would be changed to black

Personally, im a big fan a Orange cars with Black tops, but the Roof only. Where the piller (connected to the roof) comes in contact with the hood, everything the hood and below is orange, everything above the hood is black. Ill find a pic, i know lots of imports do something like this.
personally i like the 2nd one, orange on top and black on bottom, i think it sticks out more. But eather one looks good but i like the orange on top, it's more like bam here i am.

thats where i am now..
i have something in mind that will blow all of your minds...BUT...i dont know what colour to do the interior...its a **** off...oh well..
this new paint job is gonna cost me around $10,000-$15,000 canadian...but...there will be a significant amount of airbrushing...and no...its not flames or anything like that...
STAY TUNED!!

A darker color over a lighter one will make a vehicle look lower. I prefer the black over orange. I would like to see the color break made at a higher point, about 3" down from the top of the fender, door, quarter, etc. Consider painting from the horizontal bodyline on the front bumper, following the outside of the headlight cups up to the point I mentioned earlier, when you reach the rear of the car, follow the ridge on the spoiler...this may help compliment the lines of the car.
I wish I had photoshop so I could show you.
