Just Got Some Louvers
What's up? I just got back from Georgia. You know, I couldn't stop thinking about my car while I was gone, so I got some louvers for the rear window. A friend of mine had them on an '84 Firebird and he didn't like them. So I threw them in the back of my buddy's CHEVY truck and brought them home. I was wondering how difficult it will be for me to install them. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Does anyone know where I can find the lovers for the rear window. I have been lookin all over, even the "classified" section and only found one. Do you guys know anybody or any website that sells them reasonable. Not 260 bucks from JCwhitney its insidious.
Please let me know.
Thanks.

put an ad up on the classifieds borad, most people don't bother putting them up for sale because not many people want them.
ask for a set and i'm sure you can even get a set for free from some people

I got the louvers on succesfully. In my opinion they look cool. I like them on there. I will try to get some pics of her for y'all as soon as I can. Finally, an installation that I did all by myself and it didn't even cost me anything.
Of course now, my transmission mount is bad and my trans bounces up and down now. Oh well, the way I look at it, the true love for your car only shows through the hard work you put into it. This must be a test of my love for my car.

My 88 came with the louvers on the rear window. Nice thing about them is that the rear part of the interior is like brand new. Don't see a red interior that is not faded. Probably much cooler in summer too. (Mine are in the shed now)

Oh yeah, I forgot. I think there is like one or maybe two clips missing from the louvers. Is there any way that I can find replacement clips? I know it will probably be hard, and I may not ever find them, but it's worth a shot right?

Hey, I think they are still selling those clips on e-bay. I checked when I was looking for louvers. Go and search for 82-92camaro.
I am sure you'll find them.

i would try e-bay soon. They were only like 20 bucks, so dont type in the name and what not, just search for "82-92 Camaro" Go through about 15 pages, you are bound to find them. Since thirdgen.org doesnt like us to post the links to ebay I encourage you to find them there. If you really want the link, e-mail me or sumtin.
Good luck.
Also call a GM dealer, they might be able to get you some. However, if the guy who is helping you is stupid, he will not find anything since he is searching for louvers. I know, they are louvers, but I belive they were listed as a rear sun deflectors, or sumtin like that.
Gool luck, once again.
