I would suggest masking the polished parts, and attacking them with paint stripper, then a clean wire brush. The best would be to mask the polished parts and have someone sand blast them for you.
Then put the rear of your car on jackstands, chalk the front tires, and put one of the GTA wheels on the back, start, and put in gear.
While the wheel is spinning on your "poor man's lathe", dress any curbage with a file, then go from 400 wet and dry sandpaper to 600, 1200. Then do it with a cloth and a good aluminum polish.

because its appropriate, I will let you in one what i'm currently doing. I am swapping my entire dash from a donor car so i can have the 140 speedo, I doubt it will be hard. Stupid cable driven crap is so inaccurate and plus my old needle broke. Finally I can be let in on some technology. Hey 82 how much converting have you done to your car? My car surprisingly has an electric driver chair.

Noooo!!!! I've been searching for GTA rims for about a month and haven't found anything under $300 shipped. I've been watching ebay like a hawk, where did you get those? Nice score, you can tell I'm jealous
I've already chopped my car with some GTA's here http://www.onclickpix.com/11754

I hate you! (j/k) I just picked some up for my car today, paid 350 for them, two had new Goodyear tires. These are my favorite stock wheel, and them weighing like nothing helps too
