I haven't seen an 03/4 Cobra motor in a thirdgen yet.
Possibilities are endless when you start cutting stuff and fiberglassing stuff though *shrug*
I wonder who the first person to have 05 'vette wheels on a thirdgen will be.

I hope the C6 wheel fits good too. Probly need spaces anyway but indeed they look perfect. the C5 wheels, the thin 5 spoke one, looks good to but shows too much brakes and need nice setup to finish up the look.
Anyone seen a LT5 motor in one? Thats what i would love to do. Big stroker one with 600hp n/a. That would be sweet but I am sure its been done.
How about custom AWD? could that be done somehow? Prolly lots of fab work.
Also anyone with targa top like vettes? not t-tops but 1 piece roof opening.

Make it mid engine. That plus awd would kick ***.
How about a Jag V12? With a turbo.....
All wheel streering.....
Still havent seen gull wing doors.
Could fab a rear air diffuser out of carbon fiber or fiber glass.
Sidepipes are rare.
Do a performance Iron Duke.
Chop the top.
Rig up an IRS system from a GTO or Corvette.
Steering wheel shifter paddles.
There's plenty left, it just costs a lot of money.

I have yet to see any really 'old school' stuff in a 3rdgen. I mean REALLY old school.
Like the '68-74 Corvette/Z-28 aluminum valve covers, a dual quad or six-pack manifold, an 8-track player, stuff like that.
Basically, stuff you are more likely to see on a '69 Camaro than an '89 Camaro.

i'd like to see some massive power stuff. like big block massive power stuff. how about a twin turbo 502? what about one of those 572's? another thing i have seen but want to see more of is road race thirdgens. and i mean hardcore, move the motor back as far as possible, get wider fenders, huge wheels and tires (like 13 inch or somthing really wide) and a high revving motor, somthing like a 350 with a 283 crank and a hardcore valvetrain so that it can tach up to 10k RPM or higher. theres always more, we just gotta get creative.

Corvette IRS has been done, but other than that there's some pretty cool ideas, not all that feasible, but cool nonetheless
and is that marlboro car the hawk's widebody kit?
And black85iroc, that post reminds me of one of the cars my dad built up that comes into conversation every once in a while. It was a c4 (i think) built up for a millionaire, for the silver state challenge. Ran 10's, shifted at 10,000 rpm's, and had a gear ratio higher than 2.5 (like 2.32 or something) so it could reach over 200 in the silverstate challenge. (btw my dad wasn't just a garage mechanic he owned a performance engine shop so that's why heh)
And I hate to say it, but I'm building up my car in a pretty stereotypical tgo way. Shaved emblems, bumpers, antannae, gm truck door handles, 91 gfx, hi rise, and 18" c5 wheels. It'll look like half the cars on the board but I've never really seen any in real life, just the board so it's all good

Hilborn fuel injection, or Rochester mechanical fuel injection.... I think I can safely say no one has ever put the old Rochester FI on a 3rdgen

I really like this wide-mouth looking front spoiler and have never seen another like it. That plus the orange paint sets this one apart from the crowd.

Hope ya dont mind.
That jap camaro looks good. I like the color and what they did to the front end to give that look like the grille is deeper wide mouth look. Could someone fabricate a bottom GFX piece to accomplish that look. Thats what I want, a wider deeper front end mouth to give it a slammed profile.

I'll be the first person to soil themselves when someone accomplishes a 4wd or AWD 3rd gen and makes it look stock. I've seen the 3rd gen on a truck frame thing before, that was.... hardly anything to give an "thatta boy" to

How about a Nothstar V8 in a thirdgen? I came across one dirt cheap earlier this year but passed on it
There would be LOTS of fab work to get it done right.

actually it would be "easy" to put a northstar in a thirdgen now because they are putting in "correctly" mounted engines in the new SRX. so all you have to do is make up some mounting brackets and fab a y-pipe. gm is selling it as a crate motor.

LMAO, thats funny
whos gonna be the first with the LS2? That be something cool too. Or the C5R block?
Can you fit 13 inch wide wheels out back? My dads friend's 00 TA has 18x13 in billets out back and that would look sick on a thirdgen.
Carbon fiber body panels/fenders/hood would also be cool. Be like a SCCA car.
How about a twin engine car? Seen an Audi TT with two 400hp motors. That would solve the AWD prob to some extent.

TA, I hate to break it to you... but it's already been done! Not only did this bird's owner choose the same paint, rims, and hood as yours... but amazingly enough he was the FIRST to set a Trans Am in orbit around Jupiter. Here is a computer enhanced image taken last month by the Hubble telescope
Yeah... there's about nothing left out there to do now! Just choose your combo of already done parts and mods, and run with it. You'll still stand out unless you go to a Thirdgen.org meet or go for a cruise on the rings of Saturn. I here there are a few Berlinettas that have made it out that far.

Tons of things have been done by people who have no clue what thirdgen.org even is to show everyone. Thats why I always chuckle at people who claim to have been the first to do something.
