Check out this 3rd Gen!

Taken by Gangreen from the f-bodyhideout.com forums. He caught this beauty at SLP race day. Check out the chrome TPI! :hail:

Would this happen to be a car from someone that posts here?

Both very nice. I saw that 2nd gen at the TA Nats this year. Not only is there an LS1 in there, the entire car under the fenders from the dash forward is a 4th gen. Inner fenders and firewall are a dead giveaway for anyone familiar with 2nd gens.

Hmm, good question. Perhaps he forgot to buy shocks for the hood.

Yep, I have seen that car at the GM nationals before a couple of times. Same goes for the firebird. That's Realmac4's car (maroon 91Z a next to the camaro in the first pic).

The camaro in the first pic is a little overdone for me in person, but it has really good workmanship.

EDIT: Wait, does anyone have any pics of the interior? That should expain why I feel it's overdone. Looks like a pimp couch.

I've seen the red IROC in person a couple times. There's chrome door-edge trim all over the engine bay, the "Z28" badges on the ground effects were painted right over, and the engine bay is packed with red loom tubing. The car is clean, but it's tacky as hell. At least he changed the airbox. Last time I saw it, it was just packed full of chrome tape and stickers:

I also got a major kick out of the "tuned port terror" that was airbrushed on the front of the car. It's a stock 305. The only "terror" is the shock you get from seeing the chrome door trim all over the engine bay.

The car really doesn't look too bad in pics, but in person I found it to be extremely tacky and cheap looking.

i can see why it would be bad in person. but that body colores air box is giving my an idea, especially with the headlight brackets and other things body colored

i think if possible my stealthram would look good bodycolored pearl white

You can still see the door trim in the first pic of that red camaro...

looks like he replaced alot of red with chrome. looks better then the later pic...esp the airbox!

Now red wirelooms are not all bad...
I have won best engine w/ them a few times, & got in a book too!

Here is some more chrome, but bad resolution!

Sorry, not my style at all. I see no need to draw attention to wiring. I prefer a clean uncluttered approach.

Eventually...when the car is no longer forces to be emissions legal...I plan to reroute the wiring and get rid of 90% of the vacuum lines. If the car did not have to have the wiring I would have it gone, believe me!

But since I've got to ahve it I might as well find a way to tie it all together and make it look purposeful!
