Changing to a 90+ Bird front end
My friend just fricked up my front-end and fender of my 89 bird. The fender I'm sure can be banged out, but the front clip is ripped up pretty bad.
Anyone know a good source to get the "Demon Eyed" 1990+ front clip.
How much else do I have to replace? Prbably just the support, right?

They "shark nose" as admrlam so called it, was only available on 91 and 92 birds. And the ground effects are completely different. So you will want a nose from a formula so it doesnt have the ground effect piece on the nose. Most of the plain birds rolled off the assembly line with the sport appearance package in 91 and 92.

I thought they are pretty cool. Plus, I can do some cool alterations with the light set up. Just thought it would be different.
Thanks for the info, guys. I definately will have to get the formula one since I do not want any ground effects.

The support I will need, but why do you say headlights. I know I'll need the fog light mounts and such, but the headlights and hoods on the cars are the same.

The headlights ARE different. None of the part numbers cross refrence in the GM computer. Believe me I tried.

graebz28, are you sure that 'shark nose' will fit to an '84 bird.
If you compare an <-85 and 85-> bird, I would say that them got a little difference in the whole front fender assembly, not to mention the front end it self.
Just an opinion.

Good point.
I think that the fenders are the same from 82-92?!?
If they are, then they have the same mounting bolts to mount any front end. But the plastic backing behind the front clip(in any situation) would have to be replaced with everything else that is mentioned above.
If not? I do not have an honest answer.

The fenders are the same but you will have to get the metal bumper, nose, support piece that goes on the part where the hood latch is, turn signals, foglights and possibly a few other pieces. I am doing the process myself but I need a few more things.

Well, I've got an '84 clip on my '86 Firebird...
The fenders are the same. I have '84 fenders on my '86. I noticed some upper-frame-rail bolt-hole alignment problems, but I also had framework done. I just notched the '84 fenders.
The '84 nose has a different style of "honeycomb" impact-absorber between the steel bumper and urethane nose. When I found the "correct" '86 nose, I took off my '84 unit, but the correct one wouldn't go over the honeycomb. I had to remove the extreme ends of the honeycomb... you'll see what I mean if you go thru with this.
