Is this a good Deal?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=43957

Is this a good deal? I have been thinking about getting ZR-1 rims a lot lately.. and this looks like a pretty good deal.. 17x9.5 in the front and 17x11 rims in the back. 300 on buy it now.. Even tho they are the painted silver...

Does anyone have these rims (painted) on their car?

I know LBSZ28BLOWN has this exact setup (size-wise, not the painted part) and i know i will be bugging him a lot if i do get a setup like this. And i also know i will need to at least know the offset before i buy a set (will prolly just want the 50mm offset that LBSZ28BLOWN has so it will be easier just to copy him... lol)

And one last thing...
I want opinions: Painted ZR-1 with these sizes or should i just polish up my IROC rims?

NM! lol, Mods can delete this if they want, i'm not gonna get 17x11 ever.. i just looked at the price for the tires... TO HELL WITH THAT... lol, i cant afford $1200 for rims and tires.. if i can find a set of 17x9.5 sometime soon for a similar price then i will go with those (tirerack.com want $13 for the tires to fit the 9.5" rims than what i was gonna buy for my IROC rims..)

lol, i wasn't expecting that huge of a difference.. here was my process

Tirerack.com prices

Stock IROC rims - Yokohama AVS ES100 - $97 a piece

17x9.5 - Yokohama AVS ES100 - $110 a piece
17x11 - NO AVS ES100 tires in that size... sh|t...

so.. my next pick...

17x9.5 - Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 - $179 a piece
17x11 - Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 - $277 a piece

so..DAMN
too much money for me for tires.. so im still thinking maybe i will get a set of 17x9.5 ZR-1 rims if i can find a good price.. but i'll prolly en up polishing my Irocs up... oh well

BTW, the tires for the 17x9.5 rims were $13 more than for my 16x8 IROC rims..

does anyone know about Sumitomo?

17x9.5 - 255/45WR17 - $99
17x11 - 315/35WR17 - $156

I really dont like the tread design, tho.. but if i want to get these rims, then im gonna have to go with cheaper tires..the ratings are kinda mediocre tho..

btw, if anyone buys these out from under me, dont feel bad, would just make me not do this.. lol, sometimes thats the only way to stop me from doing something if i see a good deal........

oo.. just thought of something... Im putting either the Eibach Pro-kit or Sportline spings in my car.. will drop it "1-"2... should i worry? i know i will have to 'massage' the rear inner fenders to get the big fat tires to fit, but will i be totally screwed if i drop it that much? front or back?

Heh...

You may want to email the seller before bidding/buying here.

There is no indication that there are 4 wheels in this set... there's a good chance that you're only buying 2.

Just a thought...

So $900 for tires eh?

Does that seem a little high to anyone else?

well, i REALLY want to get these rims.. they have a 36mm offset. With .5" spacers and some massaging to the fenderwells, the rears will fit quit nicely with the tires i have picked out.. (kinda cheap, but good ratings and wear)

one thing.. will i have to worry if i put Eibach Pro-kit springs? if i will have a problem, then could someone suggest some springs that will keep my stock ride high (the rims are more important to me than getting the car 1.6" lower) but give me almost as good of handling as the Eibach springs?
Thanx for ur help, guys.. i think ima order these tonight

Louis(LBSZ28BLOWN) had to get 11" wide tires on the back. He can't keep that thing on the road... I have some pictures from one of our meets...brb

$387.90 after shipping.. not too bad, i dont think. Even if i dont end up wanting to use them or im and too retarded to get them to work i can always sell them at a swap meet (Jeffereson Car Show in WI! next spring for instance). Im sure i could get $300 for them.. and if i cant, oh well, i just hope i get these to work.. Thanx for the help guys!

I will, thank u.. As soon as they arrive i'll post multiple pics (thank u cardomain) but they wont be on the car until at least feb. because im doing a medical study for $3500... $2500 of it is basically gonna be dedicated to suspension and rearend rebuild.. only after that will i buy my tires and make everything fit.. i dont wanna make it fit, redo suspension, and then not be able to get them to fit the same and have to mod the inner fender again... now i need to find out if the Pro-kit would lower it too much to for my tires... and if it does, i need to find some good spring that will keep my stock ride height...

I'm glad that you picked them up. I think for $300 it was definately a really good buy.

I gotta be honest, I thought about clicking on that buy-it-now button more than once myself. Those are pretty much the wheels that I am looking for.. but I also know how pissed i'd be if someone bought them out from under me.

Congrats on the buy! Let me know if you decide not to use them.

Oh... and don't forget to POST PICS!

I think his is lowered 1/2". You can ask him, he's a really nice guy. I think he had to do some work to the fender, but that should be relatively easy to do.

yah, i know... when i was still planning on staying with my Irocs i was gonna put those on.. ($150 a piece for stock sizes)... but, i mean, $900 is WAAAAY to much to spend on tires for me.. well, if it was a show car, then yah.. but hell no

thanx, i will look into those.. im not gonna buy the tires until the suspension is done tho.. so after next Feb... hehe, then i gotta tackle the paintjob.

GOT EM IN THE MAIL TODAY! I also found out that they are AFS wheels...the same brand that Louis bought.. that made me pretty happy.. now i just need to get new center caps.. I emailed AFS tonight and im gonna try to talk them into giving me a good discount (1/2 price) if i send them my center caps and trade for bowtie ones.. otherwise a set of caps costs $60

17x9.5 besides a 17x11.. guess which one is which

Brand Spanking new!

See! AFSWheels!

I'm extremely happy with them.. one of the best buys i've ever made - $300 for $1000 rims!
