car covers

I am looking for a car cover for my 92 Bird and was wondering if there are any car covers you guys would suggest/not suggest. also, I don't have a garage and was thinking about putting it in one of those rent storage places. Is this a good/bad idea and what experiences have you had with either subject before. also, my steering wheel is beginning to come apart at the place where the horn button is and this yellow rubber stuff was showing but i stuffed it back in. do i need to buy a new steering wheel, or is there some way to get the steering wheel back together.

Well from my experience w/ car covers I got the one by Cover Craft. I got the most expensive one they made. It kicks *** . I can take the t-top off and put the car cover on and lock it up w/ the lock and go to sleep and take the cover off and drive off w/ out having to mess w/ the tops. They are really nice especially if you value your paint job and the appearance of your car. One thing is if you get one also buy a California Car Duster or something equivilant to it to get all the dust and crap off of it before you put the cover on. They are a lifesaver for the paint and the less you have to wash it too. but never leave it on while in the rain. Can't help ya on ther other questions though, sorry; hope I helped

I bought one from Classic Industries. I bought the best one they had as well. It fits like a glove. Couldn't be happier!

Why don't you put the car cover on in the rain? Isn't that what they are designed for? Just asking.

Some cheap covers will trap mositure between the cover and the paint, spend some extra cash and get a NOAH cover, I leave mine on while I'm away on 2 week business trips and its been great. I ordered mine from Classic Industries www.classicindustries.com

Mike 25th. You bought the most expensive one, did you get the NOAH car cover or the Evolution car cover. Are they the same car cover and did all of you order it to be a custom fit, or the semi-fit?

Jeff,

I bought the most expensive INDOOR cover they had. My employer is kind enough to let me store my Z in a heated garage year round. The cover fits like a glove. It is designed for the aero wing and everything. It couldn't be more custom fit!

The outdoor covers are great too! Just be sure to air the car once or twice a week. Sometimes they can trap moisture that has evaporated from underneath your car.

I looked up my reciept for the cover and it says 91-92 Tech Car Cover Gold. I just told them I wanted the best indoor cover they had. It was $179.95 ($198.95 w/shipping) and worth every penny!
