I've seen that car before and I LOVE it. It was in an old 'Camaro only' super chevy magazine in '02 I think it was. I think the title of the article was "From father to son" Like I said, love the car.
I always thought the designs (looks like airbrush) under the hood were a tad strange but I like it anyway.

i like those wheels. but they always look crappy from one side. Why cant the compaines make the rims look good from both sides when they make a style like that . I know they can custom make them but they should just do it .

I remember that car about 10 years back..... Used to go to alot of "truck runs" like Resolutions.... Was a nice car then, nicer now! I am shocked to see it with the same paint.

thanks for the picture... didn't know that was the same car. that is in fact a member here which is good to know.
the wheels are actually called rodder and it's a 5 spoke series obviously.

i posted it because it was a new picture that i haven't seen before, good to see it spawned another picture i haven't seen. many of you complain about always seeing the same thing so there you go. i think it's a nice car, the interior needs work and the airbrushing could be left out but it's nice. at least the air brushing is in areas where it can be taken or left off.
overall good job.

They are rodder 5's.... I scanned that pic that easyspeed posted a long time ago when I first read about the car. I like the stance and the cowl hood looks good with it.
I love the rodder 5s.... but I actually prefer the actual Boyd Hotrods... Hotrods are the cut that Graboid is running.

very true however i do not like the star that is on the hotrod... if you opt to smooth it out like the rodder series then the hotrod is by far a nicer wheel. you can also opt to have them reverse the wheels so that you have it looking right on each side.

I got ahold of boyd the rims on the black vert are the hot rod and they are called the hot rod 5 because they are available in 5 and 6 lug, the othere wheels are the rodder 5 not the hotrod 5.

Rodders, Hot Rods, and the Timeless 2's (almost identical to the Boze Stingers) are definately my fav Boyds, the Smoothie 2's are very nice as well. When I get the funds I will probably be torn between the Hot Rods and Timeless 2's.
Heres a pic of the Timeless 2's in case anyone is curious.

I came across these wheels they look vey simular to what your looking at. They are American racing wheels so I'd say they should be alot cheaper. They car called Rebel chrome (699).
no comparison though between american racing quality and the others.... AR is up ther with colorado customs where as boyd, budnik, etc. are in a category of their own with nicer quality materials.

yea but i actually think those American Racing Rebels look better than most boyds etc. if they didnt have the bolts at the end of the spokes
and they run about $250 a wheel. i might have to invest
