Turtlewax Rubbing/Polishing compound...
This stuff is awesome!! I have tried for the last few days to get this VERY stubborn tree sap off my paint...Spent a buttload of $$$ on every type of product available, Tar/bug/sap removers did nothing (tried 4 different brands), even using stuff like wd-40 in desparition when nothing else worked. (even bought a hardcore buffer machine for $70) To no avail. Well I was at the hardware store and picked up the Turtlewax Rubbing compound for $1.79...I got the polishing compound also, for $1.79 too. BAM I love it! Removed the sap like it was nothing, I followed it up with the polishing compound, and she shines now! TURTLEWAX you are my savior!

Yes it did work. That's because the abbrasives in the compound removed some paint along with the tree sap. You may have had better luck with a clay bar. In that, it is not as harsh as a rubbing/polishing compound.

It IS a rubbing/polishing compound, I followed it with thier high gloss paste wax. No swirl marks of any kind. Looks amazing, so it's good enough for me....

I hand applied the compounds, then used a buffer for the wax
