Anyone know where I can get a "sign" made for carshows?

Wasn't sure exactly where to post this...move it if needed.

I'm wanting to get a sign for my car for some upcoming car shows. A sign that will show what modifications have been done...specifications...and so on...with some cool designs and colors. I could probably make one...but I really don't want it to look cheesy or anything. Let's see what ya got. Thanks

best bet would be your local sign shop. most can do pin striping and lettering on a nice painted metal board, very nice detailed items they usually make them to what you want. that is what i have seen around.

not me....

depends on what you want. i have a metal combined signs that are used for indoor shows and i have the basic plexi with vinyl for shows that i know the sign will get messed with.

this particular board has brushed aluminum and candy red vinyl. as basic as you can get but the most affordable.

by the plexi from a home depot or otherwise and cut to fit. take it to a vinyl shop.... call around... and pick your setup. just have it all set up before hand so you know what you want. they usually charge by the letter so be ready.

i eventually did the metal sign in paint because it was actually cheaper then vinyl. just the brushed billet vinyl on my sign was $30 and you see there isn't much there.

rediculous....looks cool in person though.

The product in my link looks more professional. I like the board with like 4 pictures of the car from all different views.

Another thing if you are not aware of it already… especially if you are doing outdoor shows……… guaranteed someone will kick or trip over your sign so make sure it wont hit your car or worse yet the car next to you when they do! Also even if there is a little wind I have seen them get blown over into cars

I have the crappy cheap style... Red paper with all the mods printed on it by my printer. I keep changing things too often. It would cost me a fortune in vinyl. As it is I change something before each show it seems. Plus I go to mainly outdoor shows. My board gets kicked and blown over all the time. I have the red sheets in a nice poster frame...the backing for the poster is black satin...have a few pics of the car stock in there too!

What I want to do is make a brushed aluminun metal sign, that I have vinyl letters on, that is bent to go under the tire. With the weight of the car holding the sign, there will be no blowing or knocking over.

Hey Kandied...if you are still planning to come to Atl for the Nopi show....the wind in the stadium is killer. Will knock over anything! The interior of my car was filthy last year from all the trash blowing around! Tents normally get blown over. HAd a trash can take out my front fender my 2nd year!

please don't get that thing above....

as far as the signs held on by wheel weight. that's a great idea and one that is used quite often however i don't like that for the purpose of blocking the car.... in some situations though it would be nice and understandable.

Agreed....the sign above...not for me!

Blocking the car is the main reason I have not done it yet. I know i have tried to take pics of some cars with one and have been annoyed because I could not get a good pic!
