It measures 3'' right at the end of the scoop. Its really easy to see over. Also I am on a really tight budget because I am in college right now so it probably wont be painted for another year or so I have some minor rust and things that need to be repaired so I am going to do it all at once.

3 inch cowls are the perfect size for are cars...not to big not to small.

 

3inch is Perfect IMO!!! Good looking car.

Thanks for all of the compliments. It ended up costing 429.99 plus shipping but thats because I got the bolt on version which I didnt want, but because of the fact that it rains so much here in the houston area I cant afford to have to take my hood completely off if I had to mess with something broke down on the side of the road in the rain. The pin on version is only like $220 and ten pounds lighter than the bolt on. Heres a pic from the inside. This picture actually makes it look like its hard to see over but trust me its not at all. well unless your like 5'2'' or you like to sit in your car like a thug with the seat reclined all the way back.

 

Nice choice I'm happy with mine too. Going to tweak the fit a bit more when it gets closer to being painted.

 

IROCaholic, it looks like the hood is overlapping the front a bit much.

Am i correct or is it me?

 

It is a little but only because the car was previously wrecked by the guy who had it before me and he fixed it wrong. The stock hood fit the same.

Yeah I need one bad, I dont know why but in like three days it went from having one small crack in the corner to what you see now.

The radio was stolen from my car before I bought it. Not that it matters though I wouldnt be able to hear it over my exhuast. Plus a radio wont make my car any faster.

 

Man, I remember driving around with mine black like that. Those were the days. I like the Harwood cowls. Glad to hear that your happy with it.

 

We don't need no stinkin' tunes! Made an aluminum plate for mine. The radio was also stolen before I bought the car.
