I have seen them in a mag ounce or twice, i think motion performance makes them. They send you a rear assembly that replaces your existing tailights with a corvette style lights kinda like those s-10 taillights you can get.

I saw them done professionally once, and I thought they were cool until the gee-whiz effects wore off (20 minutes). Some rice boy -gone-Camaro in my town ***ged up a camaro real nice, and one thing he did was home made corvette tail light inserts. From the looks of it, he removed the stock tail lights and bondo'd in a set of blackouts that were cut to accept the vette tail lights. It looked horrible. I think I've got pics. Lemme check. Bah! Found it!

Thats sure is a ugly car but imagine just the tailights minus the backup lightsa on a clean camaro like mr iroc-z car. I think it might look sharp on a clean non rice boy camaro. That dude must of riged in those ridiculious reverse lights. Those cheezy rims and paint scheme are to much for me.

Jim85, I've seen that car in Williamstown a couple times. I agree that the reverse lights look like crap, but I think that I kind of like the vetter bumper. I heard that it was pretty much a direct bolt-up. One other thing, I will never mess with that kids camaro again, that sh*t was fast!

I used to see a Camaro in my town once in a while that had the Corvette style rear lights- it looked damn good! The rest of the car looked pretty sharp too. I wonder what happened to it?

That white hunk of ***** is fast? The one time it drove by me, it echoed the ever familiar drone of a 2.8. I haven't seen it since last year when I snapped off these pics, but I'm dieing to find him at a red light. There's some other idiot around town that has a POS black RS with flames painted on the front. The flames came out great, but it looks horrible for obvious reasons. He's one of those guys that leans to the middle of the car and drives around all day because he's too cool to have a job. He won't race me either.

I agree that is way to much stuff happening on one car. The rear bumper looks stupid, it just don't fit the car. The color scheme is way out there. Looks like he found every aftermarket body kit he could find to bolt on to it. Now in moderation all of those things could look good. The actual ground effects styling kit with those side vents, where does someone find those? E-mail me or direct me to a web site that might have them.

I didn't think the tailights on that first car were that bad. If he would get new wheels, take off that spoiler and put a 91-92 Z-28 high rise spoiler on it. Paint it. It would look half decent.

You know....I think I have changed my mind a bit on this car. If you can imagine the car without all those stupid aero-wings and side skirts, the lights would not look bad. It would actually make the cars look cleaner.
Hmmmm...I wonder how they would look on my baby. Well guys, here's another pic of my baby:

Mr.IROCZ,
What was involved with lowering that car and putting on those 18's??
Was there any tubbing??
Is there any scraping now??
I got chrome IROC 16x8's and I was thinking of selling them to buy 18x8's and than lower my car.
What do you think??

Hi CobraKiller,
That's a nice red -Z! Ummmm, to tell you the truth, yes, alot was invloved to lower the car. If I had known the **** I had to go through to make the 18's fit properly, I probably would have thought twice.
First of all, you must cut out the fenders. The front is alot of work. The plastic liner must come out, then you have to cut out these stupid overhangings from the fender. This is the hardets part since these are hardened metal! Then, since the car is so low and you virtually have no wheel space, you have to get tougher springs. I opted for 800lbs in the front and I think 250 in the back. I already had Koni adjustable shocks so that was good. But if you don't have serious shocks to handle the stress.....you will have to get them. But as you can see, it is worth the price...although the ride is NASCAR comfort.
I have done too much to this car, and it would take a many more pages to write about....but if you get the 18's just remember that the car will not look "right" with those huge rims if the car is not lowered enough.
Thanks

Hey elektek those "vents" on the doors look like crap, they destroy the look of the car. There is a girl at my school that put that whole body kit on it. The front has three or four holes in the bottom, kind of like a berlintina. The car doesn't have ground effects from the factory, so it might look better with just the doors on a Z28 or something, but probably not. I don't event want to talk about the bumper(that and i can't really remember if it is changed) I know that the side below the quarter panel has something on it.
anyways that's just my opinion, if you want i can ask her if she knows where she got them.

Maybe, if it was done right, the vette lights would like pretty good, but not that way, and obviously on that car...
That black 'Roc looks pretty good, but I have to say that it is slammed too far.
I could stand driving around in a car that is that comfortless in bumps...
One time I saw a guy with a camaro driving along with those 14in. wheels, and stiffer than heck shocks.... He was bouncing around like nobodys business.. all i could do is laugh at him!
Hopefully your car doesnt do the same thing!
it does look pretty sweet though, I love droptop Irocs...

Very impressive Mr IROC, I like the way you used wheels that look stock. It looks clean. Not Rice like just about every other lowered low profiled tire car I've seen.
Did you use drop spindles in the front or did you use springs only?
I have a firebird and I only seen 2 wheels that look sharp on this body style, #1 is stock GTA wheels #2 are cragger SST II's. I've seen them on hot rod TV on there project bird and they looked pretty decent on TV. I don't have ground FX so I plan on lowering my car 1.5 to 2 inches. Right now I have too much open space in my wheel wells. I think she'll look pretty decent when I'm done. Thanks Jim

Hi Jim,
Thanks for the compliments on the car. I used just springs to lower the car. They are Global West Springs. 800lbs in the front and I think 200lbs in the back. There was much work done to make the car sit on the 18's. If you'd like, I can go into further detail later.
Thanks

Jim,
If you can find GTA wheels in 17 or 18 inch that would be kewl! I actually ordered rims by Kinesis, and they looked just like the GTA rims, but they were 18's. Although they were a bit pricey at $1000 each!
Soon after I picked them up, I found out that there were Factory IROC-Z rims avilable for $1000 for all four! Well, as you can figure, the Kinesis rims got returned real quickly!
If you can, stick with the mesh style rim, with a nice polished lip. That would look nice!
Thanks
