One of the last pictures of my 86 Trans Am (Lt1/T56)

Here is one of the last pictures of my car.

Decided to sell her since I don't have any more motivation to finish the project.

I'll have a few more shots when the car is picked up this weekend.

I am going to slowly mod the Formula for the time being.

It's already sold. Just needs to be picked up.
Lost interest in the car, basically. I wanted to finish it, but didn't want to at the same time. kinda confusing, so I offered it to a friend and he came up with the cash and bought it.

So true.

I understand about projects though. Divide and be conquered. Good luck with the Formy.

Hahahah, now lets see if new owner finishes it. Kind of the joke that you would never finish your TA, and like me never deciding what I want to do with my Bird, hahahah.

Im going to miss seeing it morph into a new style every week.

I almost gave up on my project a year ago. It sucks having to take your time and wait to build the car you want! There where so many cars I saw during my build that I would loved to have owned, and I came close a few times to selling the GTA in it's unfinished state. But I decided to stick with it and when I made my first all motor 12 second pass.....it was well worth it!!

Well, I sold it for an L98 motor, $2300 in parts and $2450 in cash.
The parts are Holley Stealth Ram, Trick Flow heads, and an MSD Billet Distributor, all brand new, and his L98 from his 91Z.
The buyer was going to put these parts on his 91Z.

He is planning on taking the LT1/T56 and suspension parts off of the T/A and putting them on the 91Z and then putting a 305TPI Auto into the Trans Am.

I'll be putting the Holley SR and MSD dist on the Formula.
I am selling the Trick Flows to my friend to put on his mint 86Z and getting his Dart 2 heads which will go on the L98 i am getting. The L98 will eventually go into the Formula.

I believe the buyer is a member on here, but I don't know his username.

Sorry to here it Zeph. You had the only other bird with the 91-92 camaro side GFX that I knew about! Well keep us up to date on your Formula! Hows Julian's 82 with the LT1 doing? I figured he would have kept you motivated!

I'll get another one eventually, the 85-90 Trans Am is my favorite body style, especially when you put the 91-92 Camaro sideskirts.

Julians 82 is doign good, it's a 6 speed with heads and cam now putting down 378rwhp through restrictive edelbrock headers.

He got married and moved to Maryland, I haven't talked to him in awhile.

here are pics of the new parts I got,

While I understand the angle of the joke...
no.. I'm not

The hood thing extends beyond the time of my membership here (along with the length of my project).

Myself, I have walked in Zeph's shoes more times than I care to think about and still do on occasion... it's not an easy conclusion to come to. For myself, it's not the car I care about selling... it's the part of me that's invested in the car that I can't let go of...

ya, that is on a stock 305. I think I may be one of the few that have put it on a 305.

one day I'll build another T/A just like my 86 and finish it.

Formula is my daily driver.

That's mainly the reason I asked, because I put it on my stock 305 as well. Hadn't seen anyone else do that yet. Didn't see the use of it just sitting around waiting for my other engine to get built.

The car felt slower, but I didn't adjust the fuel pressure so I don't know where it's at and the timing isn't set. I've only driven it around the block twice to make sure the car would run under load, and I still have to do some other non engine related things to the car.

Did you notice any gains with your setup?

I don't really need the heads.
Car is going to be a daily driver / auto-x car so no need for too much power. 300rwhp is fine. that is about what my friend is putting down with his dart 2's and hsr in a 355 L98.

wow... Zepher's T/A will no longer appear with yet another set of rims to show off... and the a-pillars will never be painted black! It's sad, but at the same time I think your formula has tons of potential. Let's see you concentrate your parts, money, and effort on it now!

The Formula is getting it's 4th set of wheels now. I don't know what it is but I seem to like swapping wheels.
Have a set of silver 17x9.5 ZR1's with Nitto 555R2's coming tomorrow.
They are off of this Z28,
