Chrome Plated Wheels

Does anyone know anyone or have a good expericance with anyone that does chrome plating for wheels?

Any links would be helpful!!! What is the cost to do this anyone know?

Would it be better for me to buy these wheels to my door for $800? Sell the four that I have?

LOL-Well atleast I know you guys like my wheels haha!

Nooo NOOO nooooO! I'm not getting rid of the Z06 Wheels! No way! I have some factory wheels in my basement that came with the car. My car's color was an originally white Z28 so there for my wheels that I have with the car have white inlays.

I would like to have the chrome plated so if I ever want to put them back on temporarly or anything I can without looking silly.

I don't want to paint them as there is no way I can get rid of the white that is on the edge of the wheel.

I agree that is ridiculous. Yet If I could get them for $800.00 sell my original non plated for 3-400 then it wouldnt be too bad for me. Im not getting them I will prob just have mine plated later down the road!

I think 200-250 is more realistic for your stockers.

$800 sounds about right if its a GOOD chrome Job.

I deal with a local Co. where I buy all my supplies and thats about what It would cost to get some 91-92s Chrome plated.

( Thanks *** I can do my own stuff for free) Chrome prices are a ridiculous.

absolutely right except the car would ride smoother, less rotational weight so the car would be faster and the chrome would look just as good.

now if those z06 wheels weren't using adapters... that would be different.

where is the link to that address, those look exactly like my old wheels; i'd like to check.

i paid $2,000 for the show polish and true tripple plate, most 18's couldn't compare to them for those that want the good ride with a stock look and some shine.

800 is cheap... most polish jobs cost almost that unless your wheel is in perfect shape.

if you want a single plate version of a wheel that uses knockoff casting most major tire chains will sell you a set for 575 with trade of your stock wheels.

you won't get a good tripple plate chrome job on wheels for 800 without having to return the favor.

depends on the process. here in michigan you can get them done for 300 at their cheapest on 8 mile and kelly. will it last... probably not but not everyone cares the condition or quality either when there is a budget. if your going that cheap just trade them in and pay the 500, you'll be much happier. discount tire and belle tire both do it for that price. 475 actually the last time i checked.

You got raped payin 2k to plate Them then. Im not tryin to be an *** but being in the plating bis I do know whats Involved in a good "triple" chrome process.

I'm not gona get into the whole process Im sure you have looked into it or asked to be shown around where you had yours done.

It cost $100per rim here to have em polished and they come out flawless, roadrash fixed etc. Then $100 more if your want em "Thriple" plated.

place that did mine was called pomps tire service. they do mostly semi wheels and tires, and if you visit any of their locations all you seem to see is semis but they do wheel repair too. this is in IL. can see if they have an internet site if you want. I live right by them so I just dropped them off and picked them back up a couple days later. guy was showing me what they can fix and I was impressed, they can fix wheels that are like half sheared off. but unless it is a rare wheel they just throw them away.
