Re: SportCoupe guys come in!
Thanks. I like the way it sets, but I was thinking of cutting 1/2 or 3/4 coil off the front to drop it just a bit more. I have no isolaters in the front, and I think I'll pull the isolaters out of the back. Those 17" beemer wheels on it now are only 7.5 wide so my tires bulge a bit. The tsw wheels are 17x8 and 17x9 so it will set better. Tires are 245/45 and 255/50.

Re: SportCoupe guys come in!

Re: SportCoupe guys come in!
good lookin car! I like it more with the wheels in the second pics personally.. I like the clean simple look of sc's, think they look better without the ding strips and without the front bumbercover slots myself.. just my personal preference.. actually think all 3rd gens look better without the ding strips..

Great looking cars in this thread! Just completed a full restomod on my car, now it's on to the second stage of my build.
1983 Sport Coupe: Original 305/5 speed car. 82K original miles...
Now has a 355 and built up T5 with a TrueTrac dif.
Sunoco hood and Hawks 5" spoiler all the way.

You can see my UMI sfcs sticking down

Before restomod after paint

Re: SportCoupe guys come in!
thanks! i'd say it's far from the best, but it's mine
i'd love to do either a faceplated t56 with a monster stage 5,or a jerico dr4 with a mcleod soft lock, but i do too much index/bracket style racing with this car, where consistency is key, so i'll be sticking with an auto for a while.

goin for a 2 inch cowl. building a 350 sb to put in it. considering switching to manual if i can pull it off. possibly stripe down the side. and different rims. the ones on it right now are in bad shape tho you cant see it in the picture. clearcoats comin off and ground in brake dust :\ thought about black racing stripes.

Wow... Im surprised that this did not garner any sort of rude remark from anyone.. lol..
With that said, I am with you there.. I dont like the looks of the bra's especially on sport coupes. Not to mention the damage they eventually do to the paint.

Re: SportCoupe guys come in!
Found some old pics of my 1987 camaro. I think the pics are from 2001-03?
Unfortunately the car does not look like this anymore....
I thought it would be a good idea to convert the car to a 91-92 Z28 GFX car. I got about halfway done with the convert and lost interest in the car (Do to me at that time picking up a 1998 Z28 camaro).
I'm the second owner of the car, my father bought the car new in 1987. The car has only 83,000 miles on it.

Okay, lets make it a trio of blue '87 Sport Coupes. This picture is February '92. My car was LG4 with t-top, and had full instrument cluster and a rear spoiler. Sold it almost 20 years to the day of buying it, in February 2012.

Thanks! I intent to keep it as original and clean as possible. I don't think there are too many original Camaros out there. After all, people bought them for fun.
