SportCoupe guys come in!
i don't want to start a flame war so i want to say that up front. this is only for sportcoupe lovers. don't come in and spread the gfx propaganda.
here is my challenge to all sportcoupe owners. provide pictures to let everyone know how good these things can look. i am in the middle of simplifying my car. these cars, if done right, can look like some of the meanest cars on the streets. very drag race looking. even the ones slammed to the ground with 17's look right. lets get these cars looking great! i will provide an updated picture of the car within the day. gotta get my parents camera. you can see in my sig how it looked about 2 months ago. my plans for the next month or two is to get a 3" cervini's cowl hood and get it as much prepped for paint as possible. what's your goals with your sportcoupes?

my sport coupe doesnt look good right now, its half primer and half factory red. i didn't wanna paint it right before winter as its going to sit outside. i should be repainting it by spring.
as for my goals. the 350 is gettin bored .030 over and ive already got the performance goodies that are going into the motor.
my car was originally an automatic 2.8 car. now ive got all the interior and automatic stuff out of it. and its all getting switched to a 5 speed. 8 point roll cage is getting installed soon. i will also be keeping my car lightweight.
probably the only thing im not changing about my car are the GFX, they're stayin off
o and heres a pic of how it looks right now.

my sport coupe has gfx....always has though, so I dont have any pics w/o them. I admit that they look mean as hell without gfx, but I just never liked the front bumpers on our sport coupes

Just wait a couple of months when the new drivetrain is in and a interior is actually put in it. Plus all the extra polishing that will be done

i think no gfx third gens can look good but problem is...they are rare to come by...most people who put lots of money into third gens will upgrade to gfx...so im waiting to see a very customized third gen with no gfx

as you can see, i need to do some body work to the car yet. filling the holes in on the side of the car and deck lid from the spoiler sometime Friday or Saturday. Cervini's 3" cowl hood should find it's way onto this car in the next month, then new doors and mirror assemblies. i have a rust issue on the passenger side rear quarter panel that will need attention after the holes are filled in. anyhow, here is some pretty good pictures from this morning. don't mind the dirtiness, it's been raining here everyday i have the chance to wash the car. no i haven't been mud bogging, my driveway is grass. (live out in the country)

thinking about cutting 1/2 a coil or 1 coil in the front to lower the car a little. won't make it too stiff since it has v6 springs up there. don't want it too low, just maybe a 1/4"-1/2" lower than it is right now

I dont car what anyone says the sport coupes look 10x better lowered on 17's or 18's then the gfx do. They do look better as drag cars to u see more of the tire in the back half isnt covered by the quarter ground effect. Not saying gfx cars are ugly i love them to but i would take a sport coupe over gfx car anyday of the week. Im in process or redoing mine.

What's up with the "GFX haters unite" thing?
Anyways, there are some nice looking non-gfx'd thirdgens in this thread!

I'm bringin' this SC back to life! I wanted to put the GFX on it when I first got it, but I've grown to love the way it looks without them. I won't have to worry about ripping them off after I lower it either!

Heres a couple of pics of my sc. I like thirdgens with and without gfx. The cars without gfx cars look great as drag cars while the ones with gfx look better lowered with 17in rims for the pro touring look.
